About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Richard Pasquale Zipoli, Ph.D. is a Dharma Teacher (2000) and ordained Buddhist Priest (2016) in the Vietnamese Zen (Thien) lineage. Consistent with the syncretic heritage of this lineage, his root teacher has encouraged him to pursue studies and practice in related traditions. Richard attended his first teaching with Lama Willa Miller in 2012 and entered the Margha program in 2014 because of a growing interest in the compassion and mind-training practices of Tibetan Buddhism.
He is a professor in the Department of Communication Disorders at Southern Connecticut State University and lives in Burlington, Connecticut with his wife and dog.
