Yusu Dagua - Medicine Man (Yachak)
Meet Yusu Dagua, a Kichwa yachak or shaman who carries on the healing knowledge and traditions of his grandfathers and ancestors. Yusu has been practicing for 25 years and plays an important role in the Ayahuasca ceremony, where he offers guidance, support, and performs traditional rituals to help guests connect with the plant medicine and the earth.

When he's not practicing, Yusu loves to connect with Pachamama and play soccer with his community. As an indigenous medicine man, he believes in the power of the "limpia" to cleanse the body and mind, and he offers hands-on healing to ground and open the heart.

In Yusu's words, "Preparing for an Ayahuasca ceremony is about more than just drinking the medicine. It's about connecting with the earth and our ancestors, and opening ourselves up to the healing energy that surrounds us. Before the ceremony, we must prepare our minds and bodies, and offer our intentions to the plant medicine. We must also show respect to Pachamama and the spirits that guide us. When we do this, we can receive the full benefits of the Ayahuasca and experience deep healing and transformation."
