Erin Burrell, MD, FRCPC
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
In her community practice, she principally treats health care workers for anxiety, depression and trauma-related conditions. She also trains physicians in psychotherapies (particularly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy). She co-founded and leads the Mind Space (Skills for Wellbeing), a publicly funded provincial program in BC. Erin emphasizes that everyone, including herself, is a learner when it comes to wellness, and she cultivates group curiosity and support as people discover what is most helpful for them. Erin calls Vancouver home, grateful to live on and be nourished by the lands that are the unceded ancestral territories of the Coast Salish peoples.
