Jenn Forgie
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
A Canadian playwright of Métis, French, Irish, and Scottish heritage, Jenn recently completed her first play, Seven Pieces, an interdisciplinary work exploring generational trauma, healing, and reintegration. Her writing has been supported by numerous arts grants and recognized with the Cayle Chernin Award for women in theatre.
A multidisciplinary artist, Jenn's work also includes movement, voice, storytelling, and improvisation. She has collaborated with acclaimed vocal artist Rhiannon and dancer Margie Gillis through the Murmuration Project, exploring the intersection of improvisation, movement, and voice.
Jenn has spent more than a decade developing her own creative slow-writing modality. Through her original writing invitations and facilitation, she invites people into an ongoing conversation with themselves—one that nurtures self-knowing, authentic expression, and greater self-trust.
Her signature retreat, Tending the Fire Within, now in its third year at Hollyhock, invites women to discover, reclaim, and tend the inner fires that are uniquely their own.
Jenn's work is further informed by her training as an End-of-Life Doula, Tellington TTouch companion animal practitioner, and her deep relationship with the natural world.
