About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Doña Angela is the sister of don Enrique and don Ronor. She studied in the same Shipibo healing tradition, based on relationships with five plant spirits: Noya Rao, Bobinsana, Chiric Sanango, Marusa, and Chullachaqui. She leads our shorter retreats at the Riosbo Retreat and Research Center. She's a mother and her caring spirit is felt in ceremony as well as during the treatments she provides. Doña Angela has a compassionate and caring energy and enjoys teaching and guiding program participants as well as our own facilitators. Dona Angela was amazing. I had a very challenging first ceremony. I was told after that I was very sensitive to the medicine, so a normal dose was a bit much for me. She was able to deal with the situation and I proceeded through the rest of the ceremonies just fine. She met with me a couple of times to answer some questions I had. The major trauma I had that was buried deep from so long ago was released. No other form of treatment could have helped me with that. I am so grateful for her service to humanity. Read More
