About the Teacher
Why study with them?
My name is Erica and I was born in Virginia and I have resided on Hawaii since 2015. After graduating from college, I was a self-employed professional photographer for over 12 years which eventually led me to Hawaii to photograph weddings and portraits. After discovering this paradise called Maui, I moved permanently to live on the slopes of Haleakala overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
It was my love of arts and crafts that first connected me with the bees. It was not until I started making beeswax candles, lotions, lip balms, and food wraps that I began to learn more and develop a reverence of this previously feared insect. Upon my arrival to Maui, my career focus evolved and I started a bee sanctuary where I focus on bringing attention to the plight of the honeybee. I started by selling honey and beeswax products then leading educational experiences to connect people to this important pollinator. During uncertain times in 2021, I pursued another dream. I opened a retail shop in Paia offering all of my honey and beeswax creations as well as teaching workshops to others who want to learn.
I had always wanted to go to Egypt. I put it off for a long time due to time and financial considerations and frankly I was a work-aholic. However when I started to just say yes and follow this dream, the path to Egypt was cleared for me. Within weeks of making the decision I “got my life and business in order” and embarked on my pilgrimage to Egypt.
The reason I felt called to journey to Egypt two-fold. First was my desire to connect further with bees as the honeybee was highly revered by the Ancient Egyptian civilization. Second was my desire to connect with the Sekhem, the ancient healing energy work similar to Reiki. More is still being revealed in these realms and I look forward to going back to Egypt to see what more I may learn.
After telling my Mom I was in Egypt. “Surprise Mom! I am in Egypt” the conversation went haha, she reminded me that I picked Egypt for my 5th grade social studies project and I realized that my interest in Egypt went back a lot further than I had even remembered. I then recalled all the Egyptian style jewelry I made for my grade school project and then realized why the jewelry found in King Tut’s tomb seemed so familiar after seeing it in person!
Now I feel called to connect others with Ancient Egypt for whatever reason may be calling you. I have spent lots of time in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan and feel connected to the historic and esoteric knowledge contained with these spiritual sites.
I hope you enjoy reading about my very full experience of all of the major sites in Egypt and more. It is my belief that if you are going to travel so far and spend the time and money to get to Egypt you should see as much as possible as for many going to Egypt may be a once in a lifetime experience. My curated experience is all inclusive and it is my desire that you need not to worry about anything except revelling in the experience.
If Egypt is calling you and you feel aligned with my itinerary please contact me to discuss more.
