Mama Yolimar was an essential part of what made this experience so special.
Her presence is deeply nurturing, and she brings a sense of warmth and care that is felt throughout the entire ceremony. I felt supported and at ease the entire time.
Her singing is absolutely beautiful. There were moments where the entire space felt completely still and focused when she sang. It is something that stays with you, and I truly wish I could carry her music with me.
It is also rare to experience a ceremony led by both a man and a woman together. As someone who shares this kind of work with my own partner, that dynamic made the experience feel even more meaningful and balanced.
She also helped translate when needed, which made everything much more accessible for me as an English speaker. That added a lot to my ability to fully connect with the experience.
