Otto is a researcher and traveler in the world of nature, sounds and healing touch. In his research he worked on the transformative power of music, instruments, sounds - and explored the effect of sound on emotions. As a musician 'Karukene' he plays concerts and sound journeys with his handpan music, which authentically move people and touch their hearts. As a somatic bodywork practicioner (Pantarei Approach) he accompanies people in deep processes and jointly discovers the very personal wisdom that is in their bodies - in connection of mind and body, of perceptions, thoughts and feelings. And to get body and soul in motion, he plays melodic dance journeys as DJ Kaaruu, with music that takes you by the hand and carries you along: From fine sounds with subtle complexity to powerful electronic beats, with oriental ethnic influences, from dreaming to wild ecstasy.
Dance Journey with Kaaruu
Imagine a journey into mystical lands, through time and space - welcome to a dance journey with Kaaruu! His unique style, starting slow and melodic, then moving forward, blending electronic beats with ethnic and organic sounds, will take you on a journey through dance, stillness, movement and emotions.
Workshop discovering qualities of touch
We open an exploration space where we first create a safe container (slowness, consent, saying yes and no), try out different types of touch on ourselves - and then explore qualities of touch with others in short partner exercises: What constitutes valuable touch for me? What kind of touch is good for me - and what helps or hinders me from being able to fully engage with it? How can I touch others - physically and with what inner attitude and intention? In the giving role, how do I keep connected with the other person and with myself? And how can I actively shape my own experience when being touched - by letting myself in, by setting boundaries, and with regulation through my breathing?
Finally, you are invited to let yourself fall into touch of body and soul to live handpan sounds - either with a practice partner or on for yourself.
