Wak´a Kamayuc

" The carrier of the Andean oracles"

Amaru is born in Ayllu Quisinsaya of region Cusco. Hit by lightning since he was very small, our ancestral visitor lives now in a small town called K´awri, district of Ccatcca of region Cusco. His town is recognized to be a guardian of the religious treasures of pre-Spanish times. His town is also called " Capital of spirituality of the Andes".


Amaru carries the voice of the Wak´as, Sacred Mountains, in his mission of life. He brings with it the name of Wak'a Kamayuq; this is the name of the officers in charge of Andean Oracles who were persecuted by the extirpators of idolatry in viceroyality times. Amaru has been decolonizing the ancestral language through a "cleansing" of words and rituals syncretized with Christianity and teaching us that not everything has been lost and that thanks to the protection of his people and the care of his Wak'as, much has been saved.
