( www.sacredhealingcolorado.com She is also a Licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator (IT) and is deeply honored to support individuals through thoughtful, intentional, and legally regulated plant medicine experiences.

With more than 30 years of experience in the mental health field, Monica brings a strong clinical foundation to her work. She has spent over two decades in private practice through Rocky Mountain Counseling Services and Lighthouse Counseling Services and has extensive training in ketamine-assisted therapy, psychedelic-assisted approaches, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and integration. Her work is grounded in compassion, safety, emotional insight, and a deep respect for the complexity of each person’s healing journey.

Monica is especially passionate about supporting women as they move through life transitions, midlife, identity shifts, loss, reinvention, and the search for deeper meaning. She believes that our later chapters can hold extraordinary growth, wisdom, creativity, and purpose. Inspired by Grandma Moses, who began painting in her late seventies and shares Monica’s birthday, Monica embraces the belief that it is never too late to begin again or discover a new calling.

Before becoming a therapist, Monica worked as a tour guide in South America, leading journeys through Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. She guided travelers to sacred places including Machu Picchu, the Inca Trail, Lake Titicaca, the Amazon rainforest, and the Sacred Valley. During those years, she developed a lasting appreciation for ceremony, Indigenous traditions, sacred spaces, and the power of intentional travel. These experiences continue to influence the way she creates retreats and healing environments today.

Monica’s retreats bring together her love of travel, ceremony, nature, personal growth, and therapeutic work. She creates meaningful spaces where participants can slow down, reconnect with themselves, gain insight, and experience genuine connection with others. Her approach is warm, grounded, and deeply respectful of each person’s individual process.

As the mother of twin adult daughters, an avid nature lover, traveler, and lifelong learner, Monica brings both professional experience and personal depth to her work. She views this stage of life as a renaissance and feels grateful to help others move toward greater clarity, healing, purpose, and joy.
