Younge Khachab Rinpoche

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Younge Khachab Rinpoche is the spiritual director of Younge Drodul Ling and a highly accomplished master of Mahamudra and Dzogchen. His life and teaching are oriented toward one aim: helping practitioners turn the Dharma into lived experience.
Rinpoche received a traditional monastic education at Ganden Jangtse Monastery, where he earned the Geshe degree, and later served as Khenpo of the Kagyu monastery Thagten Nyingje Ling in Boudhanath. Inspired by the Rime masters of the past, he has studied extensively with accomplished masters across the Kagyu, Nyingma, Gelug, Sakya, and Bön traditions, integrating this breadth of training into a clear and practice-oriented path.
What distinguishes Rinpoche’s teaching style is that he teaches from the immediacy of practice, emphasizing understanding how and why the teachings work. His style is warm, precise, and uncompromisingly practical, meeting students where they are while steadily guiding them toward deeper confidence and continuity on the path.
Rinpoche is known for his accessibility and personal engagement with students. He takes a genuine interest in their progress, offering guidance that is relational and rooted in the long arc of practice rather than short-term experience.
He currently resides in the United States, where he continues to teach, write, and support a growing international sangha committed to keeping the Dharma alive through practice, integrity, and continuity.
