About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Heather Mah is a yoga teacher, certified health and wellness coach, and the Director of Operations and Marketing at Samaa Living, a spiritual yoga school and retreat center in Northwest Montana. In her role there, she plans and helps facilitate retreats that bring people together through yoga, meditation, nature, and meaningful community.
Heather’s work is inspired by the wisdom of yoga and Taoist philosophy, and guided by a simple belief: healing begins when the body remembers safety. Her approach is grounded, intuitive, and deeply human. With decades of yoga practice and years of study in meditation, energy work, and embodiment practices, Heather brings a grounded and practical perspective to the spaces she holds.
Heather has hundreds of hours of coaching experience and has led women’s circles, group coaching programs, and workshops on Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Through this coaching work, Heather integrates the science of neuroplasticity, supporting people in rewiring the brain to shift old patterns and cultivate lasting change. She has also studied energy-based healing modalities, including Chi Nei Tsang, which informs her interest in the relationship between the body, emotions, and the nervous system.
She loves music, movement, and the simple joy of being fully alive in the body. Her approach weaves together yoga, breath, nervous system awareness, meaningful conversation, and moments of laughter, dancing, and deep rest.
At heart, Heather is a student of life — endlessly curious about consciousness, embodiment, and the sacred experience of being human. She is especially passionate about helping women rediscover safety and vitality in their bodies — because from that place, intuition becomes clearer, creativity returns, and this human experience becomes more joyful.
