About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Born and raised in Betania, Peru, Maestro Suy originates from a lineage of Shipibo Maestros (healers). He began his apprentice path with a year 'plant dieta' at 14 years of age. Through the energetic transmissions of his grandfather, Suy received the wisdom of his ancestors which provided him with a profound connection to the elemental forces.
At 16, he began healing in ceremonies, learning how to diagnose and treat traumas, and with the continued guidance of his elders, he became an accomplished Onanya healer in his early 20’s. Suy's experience includes leading groups within intensive healing programs at renowned centers across South America.
In addition to working with ayahuasca, Suy holds a wealth of plant medicine knowledge derived from a comprehensive holistic system that involves a wide range of plants and trees. At his home center in Peru, he and his brother, Maestro Wilson practice the teachings of their grandfather through their medicinal programs. They work with a wide range of medicinal remedies to guide students and patience towards profound healing, and self-understanding.
With a profound understanding of the medicine path, Suy has a deep respect for the responsibilities a healer must honor. He explains that a shamanic healing path is full of trials, and to reach a certain level, one must pass many tests that manifest in all areas of life: within family, friendships, relationships, and with oneself.
“To walk this path with mental strength, integrity, and a heart-centered presence, one must be able to endure its many tests and sacrifices”.
Dedicated to sharing his ancestral lineage with those who seek a deeper understanding of themselves and the spirit of nature, he encourages anyone wishing to explore this and other plant medicines to walk this path with care, integrity, and good intentions, in order align the medicine with its proper purpose.
“The knowledge I'm imparting is meant to imbue you with wisdom that has the potential to to grow within you and blossom throughout your life. Just as when you plant a seed; first it germinates and sends out roots before sprouting and maturing into a plant with its leaves, flowers, and fruits that bear the promise of new seeds - we are the same”.
