About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Born in the sacred mountains of Valledupar, within the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, Mamo Lorenzo is a deeply respected spiritual leader and guide for his people. Honored with the title of Summumpawiun—Messenger of the Earth Gods—at the revered square of Maruneywiun, he holds a profound connection to the ancient wisdom of the land.
In 2008, Mamo Lorenzo was entrusted with a sacred mission: to care for the navel of the Earth’s matrix in Bacatá (Bogotá D.C.), Colombia. In response to this divine calling, he began constructing the Great Kunkurwa, a temple dedicated to unity and harmony for all of humanity. This space, meant for men and women of every race and color, symbolizes the truth that we are all children of the Earth, and through this work, Mamo Lorenzo seeks to foster the unification of all peoples across America and the world.
Mamo Lorenzo's journey is one of healing and connection. Since 1992, he has empowered the indigenous peoples of Colombia to return to their ancestral path of spiritual medicine, known as Eysa'riunhawi. His wisdom transcends borders, bringing him to sacred ceremonies around the globe. Since 2010, he has been a vital part of the Kiva ceremony, which unites the original peoples of Mexico, Chile, Austria, and the Netherlands. His journey has also led him to the Congress Infomed in Munich, Germany, and to retreats in Chile with the Mapuche people and in Colombia, where he is a member of the Council of the Wises of America.
Mamo Lorenzo’s work is a living testament to the power of unity, healing, and spiritual transformation for the new human generation.
