About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Matsini Yawanawá is one of the first members of the Yawanawá people to reach the highest levels of spiritual initiation after the long period of religious domination imposed on their territory, a time during which many ancestral practices were silenced or forbidden. His path represents a powerful process of cultural recovery, spiritual resilience, and continuity of lineage.
Deeply committed to the revival of Yawanawá spirituality, Matsini has dedicated his life to restoring sacred knowledge, ceremonial practices, chants, and medicines passed down by his ancestors. Today, he plays a central role in guiding younger generations, helping them reclaim their pride, strengthen their spiritual identity, and actively participate in the cultural and spiritual flourishing of their people.
Through his leadership, Matsini embodies the living transmission of ancestral wisdom, emphasizing discipline, humility, and responsibility in spiritual practice. His work extends beyond his community, as he is also a guardian of the forest and a bridge between Indigenous knowledge systems and the contemporary world. By sharing Yawanawá teachings internationally, he fosters intercultural dialogue while ensuring that these traditions are carried forward with integrity, respect, and deep ethical commitment.
