About the Teacher

Why study with them?

I am a board-certified gynecologist with a subspecialty in systemic medical tumor therapy, driven by a deep commitment to improving the lives of women affected by cancer. I earned my doctorate in immuno-oncology from Freie University / Charité Medical University, where I conducted research on ovarian cancer, publishing numerous peer-reviewed articles. Seeking to translate my research into practical applications and further my strategic thinking skills, I completed a postgraduate course on Drug Development at MIT and joined one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.

My passion for innovation and clinical impact led me to IMD's "Strategic Thinking" course. Afterwards, I transitioned to the biotech world, where I joined Tubulis, a start-up company pioneering the development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for the treatment of solid tumors. Simultaneously, I serve as a breast surgical oncologist at Charité, a consistently top-10 hospital worldwide, where I strive to provide compassionate and cutting-edge care to patients.

Beyond my clinical work, I am a passionate advocate for effective healthcare communication. I graduated from Harvard Medical School's "Effective Writing in Healthcare" program, honing my skills in translating complex medical concepts into clear and engaging language. A lifelong learner, I am always seeking new knowledge and experiences. I have traveled extensively, immersing myself in diverse cultures and broadening my perspective. I am also a strong believer in maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise and a balanced diet. With a Portuguese heritage and a deep appreciation for Berlin's vibrant cultural scene, I am a proud mother of six-year-old twins. I am excited to continue my journey in healthcare, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
