About the Teacher

Why study with them?

A proficient student of Miguel Kavlin with wonderful uniquely creative, intellectual and empathic qualities, Juan brings the shamanic work to contemporary resonance with brilliance and compassion rooted in hard work. Having sacrificed himself diligently to fulfill the rigors of apprenticeship, he knows by experience the benefits of faith, determination and discipline, and aims to embody these virtues to keep the tradition alive. A long time seeker, ridiculously curious and diligent when it comes to study, Juan is able to approach any subject with a combination of knowledge, patience and intuition. Every week he conducts Andean Offerings, Amazonian Ayahuasca Ceremonies, Native-American Sweatlodges, and every full moon you will find him guiding fellow seekers in an all-night Wachuma Ceremony.

Juan guides retreats motivated by his intention to connect and share deeply the most transformative experiences of his path. Although in Andean-Amazonian Shamanic practices he has found the means with which to apply the spiritual realizations that have transformed him, his studies in Hermetica, Advaita Vedanta, Alchemy, Madhyamika Buddhism, Judeo-Christianity, Zen, Tantra, and Sikhsm merge together in his ceremonies in a way that renders the Truth, the Absolute, The Philosopher's Stone, Shunyata, Faith, Prajnaparamita, Rigpa and the Mystic Union with the Beloved identical terms; all these refer to the same Supreme Source he simply calls "Mystery". In applying the different doctrines' Hymns and Invocations Juan aims to give in each ceremony a sense of the universal sacredness encompassing all religious thought, resolving their apparent contradictions not through logic but through practice.

Mayor influences in his path have been the study of the lives of saints and sages such as Hermes Trimegistus, Mahavira, Zarathustra, Patanjali, Siddharta Gautama, Laozi, Pythagoras, Parmenides, Heraklitus, Socrates, Zhuangzi, Yahoshua, Nagarjuna, Vasagupta, Shankara, Padmasambhava, Boddhidharma, Hui-Neng, Dogen, Thomas Aquinas, Milarepa, Giordano Bruno, Guru Nanak, Ramakrishna, Ramana Maharshi, Gurdjieff, Chogyam Trungpa, Carlos Castaneda and Aleister Crowley. Together with his mentor he has taken Babaji Baldev Singh as his personal Guru, for he finds that in his being the Supreme Source finds apt vehicle of manifestation and transmission, and that all these Ancient Masters that live in the stars inhabit his voice, for their hearts are One.

Allkamari December 2019
I recognize Miguel Kavlin as a great soul, by the vision he conceived, and by the fruits of his labour.
He understood very early, the key principle of the Universe – the sound. He also understood the sacred geometry, and found such auspicious place as Allkamari is, near La Paz. The first building he established there, was the Peace Sound Chamber, which binds by sacred geometry to all the other sound chambers around the planet. This chamber – Kiva - serves humanity for about 35 years with powerful and wonder-filled ceremonies. Two decades later, Miguel established a sister structure for Kiva, Tibetan stupa, another sound and prayer magnifier. How thoughtful was to add a circular building for yoga, meditation and celebration, a sharp pointy “Cosmic Accupuncture” statue on the view point, surrounded by a cactus garden, and to host the Sun and Moon Dance on the sacred grounds around the Tree of Life. The whole center is tastefully aligned with Pachamama’s elements, and even when staying indoors, the eco cottages make one feel connected to surrounded nature. This creation of Miguel, and his people, is simply delightful and reveals deep heart connection with the Spirit.
Another thread, confirming Miguel’s affinity to sincere cultivation of spiritual values, is his inclination to outstanding teachings and teachers. He has the capacity to recognize a true essence, depth, and purity of teachings. This gift served him well, also in recognition of young shamans, who are now excellently working with people when he is not around.
Let Divine Grace continually bless your service to this world, Miguel, and allow many more to benefit from your gifts.
With gratitude and respect,
