Pepe is a highly regarded shaman from the Shipibo tribe in Peru, who began his training as a Curandero at the young age of 12 under the guidance of his Maestro and uncle, Antonio Vasquez Galarreta. Throughout his life, Pepe has dedicated himself to dieting with various Teacher-Plants, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in the shamanic arts.

Today, Pepe is a recognizable figure on a global scale, thanks to the Netflix documentary "The Last Shaman."
