Throughout his life, Pepe has dedicated himself to dieting with various Teacher-Plants, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in the shamanic arts.

Today, Pepe is a recognizable figure on a global scale, thanks to the Netflix documentary "The Last Shaman." The title serves as a testament to Pepe's unwavering dedication and expertise in Amazonian Plant Medicine and Ayahuasca, and his reputation as one of the most revered shamans in the community.
