About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Sofie Woods was born in Sweden but considers herself a citizen of the world. She has done extensive traveling for years and now resides in Denver, Colorado, where she started her own wellness business: "Swede Wellness" focusing on empowering people to be healthy and to take care of themselves through the practice of yoga, mat pilates, stretch exercises and many more fitness and wellness disciplines. From 2008 - 2010 Sofie traveled in the performing arts and leadership program "Up with People" in which she worked in the business department, after completing her semester as a participant. In 2011 her travels took her back home to Sweden where she started teaching dance aerobics in Gothenburg. In 2012 she started teaching a form of mat pilates, got certified as a group fitness instructor and since then has done special courses in dance aerobics and mat pilates. Today Sofie teaches power sculpt, mat pilates, booty barre, among others disciplines at the recreation center in Arvada, Colorado.
