About this Retreat
Your Guides
Russell, originally from England but now residing in Costa Rica, has been on the medicine path since 2012 working with both mushrooms and Ayahuasca. Central to his own practice is the Mestizo Vegetalista Ayahuasca tradition of the Amazon jungle in Peru. Working directly with the healing plants and master Curanderos through dieta he has come to an understanding of what it means to sit in ‘Gentle Presence’ and how to create a sacred container for those entering the psychedelic realms and looking for healing.
After studying the shamanic methods of the Mestizo and other cultures he realized, through personal experience, the benefits and importance of Western therapeutic models and tools being used alongside our ancestral medicines. Believing that the full integration of both of these approaches to healing will lead to lasting and fully integrated benefits to participants of deep medicine work.
Working with various healing and medicine retreats over the years and incorporating tools such as meditation, breathwork, sound healing and somatic therapy into his own practice, he has gathered a world class team of medicine practitioners and therapists to ensure that you get the most from your experience. He is looking forward to standing beside you on the next step of your journey.
Details of this retreat
Ayahuasca is one of our most cherished plant teachers and it is a great privilege to invite you on this inward quest of self discovery.
We will stay for 5 nights in a beautiful and secluded retreat center in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica with stunning accommodations overlooking the pacific ocean and all of our delicious, organic meals freshly prepared by our own private chef to ensure you are well rested and nourished.
In our time together we will share 2 Ayahuasca ceremonies led by a world class curanderra trained in the Mestizo lineage of Peru and the icaros (songs) of the plants. (Her details and an opportunity to chat directly will be available after a call with us to make sure you are suitable to work with Ayahuasca.)
The integration of the ceremony experience is vital to embodying the teachings that you receive, we will have group integration sessions the morning after ceremony and also 1-1 sessions with our facilitators throughout the week to help you dive deeper into the insights that you receive. A post retreat check in call is also included to ensure that you are feeling supported as you continue your journey.
JOURNEY WITH AYAHUASCA
Five night retreat in Costa Rica 21st-26th of April 2024 with one of the most beautiful plant teachers that mother nature has to offer.
THE SET
We will provide the space and everything that you need to feel relaxed and supported. You will have the information and tools to navigate the experience and be guided every step of the way. We will help you to feel clear and in your body. It is perfectly natural for all kinds of thoughts, feelings and emotions to arise but they are all welcome.
To support your process we will taking part in several activities and daily meditation practices designed to help us ground and embody our experience. On our first evening together we will take part in a Temezcal (sweatlodge) ceremony to cleanse both body and soul with fire and song in this Native American tradition. You will have the opportunity to take your first steps on a surfboard in the warm gentle waves and experience this sport of kings and the lessons that it can teach us about how to walk through life and as our time comes to a close we will have a relaxing sound healing to soothe our nervous systems and help integrate our new experiences into our bodies.
Our retreats takes place in a beautiful and secluded retreat center, located a few minutes above the waves of Playa Carmen.Built and run by a beautiful family and dear friends with many years experience in medicine and personal work you will be held in the perfect container for your journey.
All of the bright and airy rooms have AC and the salt water pools are the perfect place for a dip out of the tropical heat.
