What to expect:
We will hike, practice yoga, enjoy shared bodywork and sit quietly in the presence of the great California coast.

This will be a moderately rated backpacking and yoga retreat, so don’t be shy. Beginners who have the appropriate health and fitness necessary for safe travels are welcome. This trip is also perfect for seasoned excursionists who would like to slow down and integrate mindfulness practice into their wilderness adventure.

Participants will carry their own backpacks weighing 30 to 40 pounds with distances of 4 to 8 miles daily over rocky, sandy, and remote terrain.


ITINERARY
Day 1: Meet and greet followed by hike towards the lighthouse. Explore the light house, greet elephant seals and harbor seals. (2 min.)

Day 2: Hike to Cooskie Creek (5.5 mi from creek at Windy Point) followed by a guided yoga practice

Day 3: Hike to Big Flat. (10 mi)

Day 4: Rest Day at Big Flat with partner yoga, Thai massage and meditation

Day 5: Hike out to Black Sands (8 mi)

The Lost Coast of California is a protected wilderness area where the magnificent Pacific ocean meets the redwood covered mountains. We will hike along the coast, meeting sea lions and elephant seals, discovering light houses and historic cabins and basking in the beauty of the outdoors on the longest week fo the year.
