Plane: Riberalta is easily accessible by airways. There are many daily connections between the big cities of Bolivia with the airline Ecojet. Flights from La Paz cost about 900 Bs (130$) with either airline. From Cochabamba and Santa Cruz flights cost about 630 Bs (90$). For international travelers, we recommend guests fly into Santa Cruz and take a connecting flight to Riberalta. Some people have issues purchasing the flights online and we can help make the purchase if needed.
Bus: By bus the journey can be a bit unpredictable, especially during the rainy season. Nevertheless the trip is feasible and some guests choose to make the journey. The trip costs about 180 Bs ($ 25) from La Paz or Santa Cruz and should last about 30 hours in the dry season. The trip is arduous and not for the fainthearted but the landscapes are impressive. We do not recommend guests arrive by bus during the rainy season (December through March) as the road conditions can make travel impossible.
We meet guests at the airport, or bus station, in Riberalta and transport them to Pisatahua. If you have any questions about planing your arrival, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Indescribable experience
Coming to Pitasahua is one of the best decisions of my life!
I found pieces of myself I didnt even know were missing.
If you've heard Mother Ayahuasca's call, don't doubt any longer and come to this place.
If you are ready to face your fears, this place will help you transcend. My heart forever belongs in this place and with its people. Forever grateful !!!

Forever grateful
Well, that was definitely a difficult process, but I got so much out of it.
Being honest I don’t know how I could thanks Wara, the shaman, for the amazing work she did. She is the definition of kindness. She cared about us so well, going way beyond what we all expected of her. She is also a working beast, never stoping, to make sure you get what you truly need. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such a beautiful soul.
And Marlene, the volunteer assisting Wara during this retreat, was completing her perfectly. Looking out for us at all time. Always so considerate, with compassion and love.
The place is beautiful, the food was great (the strict diet wasn’t a problem for me at all), ceremonies felt safe and well handled, but Wara and Marlene are what made it so special for me. If my journey leads me to the medicina again, I’ll most definitely seek them out.

What an experience
I really have no words to describe my experience - possibly one of the hardest most fulfilling , most rememberable times of my six month holiday. A huge thank you to the staff, Erik, new friends and above all Wara. My heart is full

Never to old to learn
I at 59 was the elder of our small group, the whole experience taught me a lot about myself and the lives we all lead. A fantastic experience for myself and my wife and clearly the group we were with.
It was not always easy but 100% worthwhile.
Many thanks

Wonderful experience!
Pisatahua is a magical place and experience. This is not a vacation; it is an opportunity for sacred ceremonial work. If you want to stay in a hotel with a pool, you can pay 4x as much and hope you have an authentic and positive experience. If you want to experience the transformational healing of master plants with a powerful and generous shaman, have your needs attended to by kind and attentive hosts, and stay in a location and with a lifestyle that honors the medicine and earth… this is the place! I feel so grateful I found Pisatahua!!!
