Our work together may take us on a hike in the mountains or through watercress fields. We may trek down to one of the local waterfalls or walk along the Las Mozas River.

Definitely plan on spending time in my garden where we will delight in the fragrant flowers, vibrant colors and watch the birds feed on the fruit offerings I leave for them.

Connecting with nature is a direct line of communication with our soul self, the wise inner being who often gets drowned out by the mechanisms of our ego, archetypes and the busy parts of ourselves who don’t often allow the ethereal divine self to speak up.

And so the soul shrinks back and hides beneath all the noise.

With encouragement and the right environment, the soul speaks to us. But not in a language that we are used to. But in imagery, emotions, totems, rituals and creative expression.

El Valle de Anton is one of only two inhabited volcanic craters on the planet. There is energy here to be alchemized into your transformational process.

The crater valley offers you a safe haven to tune out distractions of your busy modern world and connect with the vibrations of your soul and heart; deep resonant tones that get muffled by the high frequency of busy lives.

Here, you are away from your environment of the routine. Here, I encourage you to do a media fast as you prepare for our work together. Here, you can refresh your body in cool water, your mind with new thoughts and your spirit with love, healing and understanding.

It’s a place that provides the perfect environment for me to help guide you inward to listen to your wise inner self.

The jungle land here in El Valle, and much of Panama, was inhabited by the Guaymi Indians, now known as the Ngäbe-Buglé. Petroglyphs dating back 8,000 years ago are etched into the rocksides on the trail toward India Dormida.

This land has been imprinted with indigenous wisdom, volcanic energy and the Panamanian spirit.

This spirited life can show up as fireworks for any occasion, music and parties, the fishmonger and metal collector announcing their arrival in the neighborhood and the ubiquitous barking dogs.

And I believe this is a perfect example of what we must tune out as we go within to seek connection with ourselves, or the lost parts of self.

When we’re on a spiritual discovery or healing journey we must turn down the external noise and frenetic frequencies; our fearful thoughts, advice from friends, social media, podcasts, news, work, texts and the stories we tell ourselves.

The soul has been with us before our physical bodies were even born. The soul vibrates at a different frequency than most modern creations. And that is what being here in El Valle can give you; the environment to connect with your soul while in an amazing tropical oasis.
