Enjoy the ‘Luxury’ of the new 'State of the Art' retreat centre.
Margarida will teach a flowing yoga class in the morning copordinated with the breath. This will be inspired by Ashtanga Vinyasa, and will be suitable for all leavel of fitness and all ages.
In the afternoon she will teach a resporative yoga class and will use bolsters and other props to help you to relax deeply into the postures and to 'let go'.
There is a meditation class in the morning and evening each day, and one of the benefits of our weekend retreats is that you can then take these practices home with you.
Organised ‘Outdoors in the Burren’ on all of our retreats.
The Burren Yoga Retreat is located at the foot of the Burren hills nestled amongst the hazel trees.
You are surrounded with a vast choice of special places in the Burren where we go for hill walks, Nature Trail walks, walks by the sea, beautiful beaches and forests to explore.
There are optional activities such as sea swimming, or swimming in our nearby lake which heats up during the summer.
Flexible full daily time table
All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the week.
However over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.
You may like an optional treatment in our massage therapy rooms, or you may decide to take some time to yourself to either explore the Burren or put your feet up to relax at the centre.
We are famous for our food and so many people have said they would come back time and time again just for the amazing vegetarian food. Our talented chef will prepare all our vegetarian meals with organic and locally sourced vegetables and the finest ingredients.

Our budget dorm bedroom can be booked by 4 to 6 people.
It has 3 sets of hand carved bunk beds.
This budget bedroom is in the older accommodation building, so does not have the same quality or size or features as the bedrooms in the newly built en-suite accommodation.
The bathroom which is shared with others is approx 3 metres from the bedroom. The bathroom is also used by other guests during the day.
If you prefer to have your own en-suite bathroom reserved just for your group of friends only (and a much more spacious bedroom with writing desk, armchairs, air ventilation system, under floor heating, and super sound proofed) it is advised to book an en-suite triple bedroom.

Margarida’s classes include vinyasa yoga and also restorative yoga. Her vinyasa classes are inspired by Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and she uses a combination of ujjai breath, the bandhas (energy locks) and dristhi (focussing one’ gaze) to bring the awareness inwards.
Demystifying yoga, her classes are based on the 8 limb approach of Ashtanga. She incorporate asana (poses), pranayama (breath) and meditation and chanting, combined with inward awareness.
In Florida she trained with an Iyengar teacher, learning the benefits of alignment and how to properly use props to support oneself, as well as restorative Yoga.
During her first teacher training she fell in love with Ashtanga and movement with the breath which gave her a meditative practice, where the thinking mind could rest as knowing the sequence the body knows where it is going.
Her Ashtanga roots have given her the training and the sequence intelligence which supports her in creating a vinyasa class or a customised practice for individual students.
She ensures that her classes are suitable for all ages and all levels of ability.
