The food served was delicious and very healthy. The surrounding nature is breathtaking and bathing in the river was refreshing after the yoga sessions. "My recent experience at Casa Ananda Yoga Retreat Center, nestled deep within a reserve of the Amazonian jungle, was an enchanting journey of self-discovery and rejuvenation. From the moment I set foot onto the grounds of this space, I knew I was in for a truly mystical experience, guided by the spirits of nature, especially the beautiful Oje tree on the property. Owned and operated by the warm and welcoming Michele, Casa Ananda exudes an aura of tranquility and authenticity that is truly unmatched. His passion for yoga and spiritual growth is palpable, and his dedication to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all guests is commendable - the two doggos - Balto and Keira add an extra layer of joy and companionship to the experience. The food at the property is Ayurvedic and delicious, using a lot of seasonal produce, and there is a lot of variety - I particularly loved the assortment of different tropical fruits offered, the Khichdi, and the cacao brownie. The accommodation was extremely cozy and comfortable, and the rooms had a beautiful view of the ponds and the reserve - I particularly enjoyed splashing in the nearby waterfall. We also did a few short trips to the hummingbird and orchid sanctuary closeby that was a very memorable experience. One of the highlights of my time at Casa Ananda was the San Pedro ceremony, a sacred indigenous tradition that allowed us to connect with the natural world on a deeper level. I am grateful for this incredible and transformative experience at Casa Ananda. I hope more seekers get to experience this place, and I'm grateful to the team at Casa Ananda for hosting me.
