Taita Tambo

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Tambo is a shaman who has transcended through his genuine commitment to his masters and his beautiful intention to help heal all those who trust and believe in his work. Within his ceremonies, he exudes love, strictness, and obedience to the teachings he has received. He is a devoted medicine musician, a loyal husband, and a good friend. His journey as a shaman began in 2013 in Colombia, where he encountered the sacred drink of Yagé. He learned from different masters in Colombia, Brazil, and Peru. But the decisive moment that would lead him to become a legitimate Indigenous Traditional Doctor came when some friends recommended him to visit the home and kitchen of Taita Ricardo Benito Chasoy Jansasoy in Bajo Putumayo (Taita Richard) (Colombia).

The friendship between them flourished immediately, and Tambo became a faithful apprentice of Taita Richard. Over time, he also met Taita Francisco Chasoy Jansasoy (Tio Pacho), and today the three of them have a family-like bond.

In addition to being an excellent healer, Tambo stands out for his dedicated efforts to transform the economy of his Taitas for various causes, including the preservation of the virgin lands of the Putumayo jungle. To achieve this, he has organized ceremonies for Tio Pacho and Taita Richard in different places throughout South America. He is actively promoting the creation of a circuit to welcome people from around the world to the Alto Putumayo.

Tambo has been trained to lead Ayahuasca ceremonies, provide Yopo, Kambo, and other medicines. He has also received training in the INGA language and instructions on TAKI or Conjuro (also known as ICARO or MARI RI). His work involves working with tobacco, energy cleansing of the body, healing breaths, the use of magical plants and seeds, and the management of MINGA (a circle of words). He is skilled in playing the harmonica, Wayra Sacha, and mastering silence. His legitimate work has paved the way for him in different countries: Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Spain. It is thanks to the love and trust he has earned throughout his journey that he is now considered an "ADOPTED MEMBER OF THE INGA PEOPLE."

Tambo's story is one of dedication, compassion, and the deep connection he has formed with his masters and the indigenous traditions he upholds. Through his work, he brings healing, guidance, and transformation to those who seek his wisdom. His journey as a shaman is intertwined with love for the land, respect for the ancient teachings, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the world. Tambo's presence is a testament to the power of ancient wisdom and the potential for profound healing that lies within us all.
