About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Miguel Lucea is graduated in Transition Innovation Sustainability of Environments Erasmus Mundus Master´s of excelence with a strong focus on sustainable development and educational social change. He leads this by chairing this NGO and managing the pilot rural development project "Co-living Sojuela Joven": a youth lab in the mountains of northern Spain sponsored by the government of La Rioja.

Graduated as well in International Relations BA and Philosophy BA he lives with a determined target in political participation and the inclusion of youngsters within the European Union democratic process. This former has been carried out as an active participant of the European Youth Dialogue process within the national youth council of Spain as a member of the National working group and the Pool of trainers.

With a long curriculum in young activism he counts with non formal education experience as a trainer and Erasmus + project manager where he puts in practice most of the notions he grasped working in the Learning and Development Unit at the European Parliament.

Rural areas are the best to allow for youth development to happen. Here young people can disconnect from the noise of media and find what we really want. Here we can be more creative and healthier as we live closer to nature. Here we can belong, be safe and afford what cities cannot provide. We are an international house with everything needed run by young people for young people and that is quite unique these days.
