Mission & Vision
Our mission is to offer a sanctuary where history, nature, and well-being converge. We exist to provide a grounded space for transformation, away from mass tourism. By restoring a 150-year-old hacienda and reforesting 40 hectares of land, we’ve created a living ecosystem that supports deep connection. We believe in the power of movement, the silence of the jungle, and the energy of the ocean to help our guests return to their true selves.
Our place is a nearly 150-year-old farm that we have fully renovated. We have planted thousands of trees and grow exotic fruits and many kinds of vegetables. Our chickens and animals make this place a true paradise.

The heart of the property is our historic 150-year-old hacienda, surrounded by thousands of hand-planted trees. It features a 12m swimming pool, a yoga space integrated with nature, and quiet corners for contemplation.

Directions
How to Get to Our Retreat Center
Getting to our "Magic & Surf Sanctuary" at Yankee Beach is straightforward, and we are happy to assist in coordinating your group's arrival.
1. International Arrival: Managua (MGA) The primary gateway is Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) in Managua.
Airlines: Major carriers including American Airlines, United, and Avianca offer daily flights from hubs like Miami, Houston, and San Salvador.
Transfer to the Retreat: From Managua, it is a scenic 2.5 to 3-hour drive to our estate. We recommend booking a private group shuttle, which we can easily arrange for your entire party (15-25 guests) to ensure a seamless "door-to-door" experience.
2. Regional Connection: Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) Many travelers also choose to fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR) in Costa Rica.
The Route: From Liberia, it is about a 1.5-hour drive to the Peñas Blancas border, followed by a 30-45 minute drive on the Nicaraguan side to reach us.
Note: This requires a border crossing, but it is a very common route for retreat groups.
3. Local Hub: San Juan del Sur We are located just 15–20 minutes south of San Juan del Sur. This vibrant beach town serves as the local hub for shopping, medical services, and additional tourism.
Recommended Connections & Transport
Private Group Shuttle: For retreats, we highly recommend our trusted private shuttle service. It is the safest and most comfortable way for your group to travel together with their luggage and surfboards.
4x4 Rentals: If you or your guests prefer independence, we recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle to comfortably navigate the coastal roads and explore the nearby "hidden" beaches.
Pro-Tip for Organizers:
We provide a "Arrival Info Sheet" that you can send directly to your students. It includes our GPS coordinates and the contact details of our preferred drivers to take the stress out of their travel planning.
