About Work With Grace, LLC

Mission & Vision

Work With Grace exists for people tired of struggling with their own minds. For nearly three decades, I've worked with those caught in painful thoughts, difficult emotions, and compulsive patterns — from eating and anxiety to relationships and the quiet ache of "is this all there is?"

These retreats aren't escapes. They're invitations to turn toward what's already here and meet experience with the honesty that dissolves struggle rather than managing it. Drawing on The Work of Byron Katie (which I was trained to facilitate), Internal Family Systems, somatic practice, and non-dual inquiry, I hold space for people to discover a peace that isn't dependent on anything outside themselves. My work is for anyone — seasoned seeker or brand new — who senses freedom is closer than they've been told.

Our retreat gathers in a warm, intimate teaching space in Lake Forest Park, a quiet residential neighborhood on the north end of Seattle's Lake Washington. The room is set up for small-group work with comfortable couch seating, huge windows offering natural light, cushions, cozy rug, and everything needed for a contemplative four days together. Just beyond our 2nd floor windows are gorgeous trees, a nearby park with a lakeside dock, and a quiet natural backyard and deck.

Directions

By air The nearest major international airport is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), approximately 30 miles south of the retreat location. SEA is served by all major domestic and international carriers. From SEA to Lake Forest Park: By car or rideshare (Uber/Lyft): 40–60 minutes depending on traffic By the Link light rail to connecting bus: roughly 90 minutes and the most economical option--take the link to the Roosevelt Station, transfer to the 522 bus headed north, there is a bus stop only one block away. By the airport shuttle services: several private shuttle companies serve the north Seattle area Paine Field (PAE) in Everett is a smaller regional airport about 20 miles north of the retreat, served by Alaska Airlines with limited West Coast connections. Worth checking if you're flying from California, Arizona, or a few western hubs — flights are sometimes less expensive and the airport is far easier to navigate than SEA. By car Lake Forest Park sits at the north end of Lake Washington, just off Highway 522 and a short drive from Interstate 5. Driving from Portland is approximately 3 hours north on I-5; from Vancouver, BC, about 2.5 hours south; from Bellingham, about 90 minutes south. By train Amtrak's Cascades and Coast Starlight lines stop at Seattle's King Street Station (downtown). From there, the retreat is about 30–40 minutes by car or rideshare, or roughly an hour by light rail and bus. Local logistics Once you arrive, a car is not strictly necessary during the retreat itself, though many participants find it useful for grocery runs, meal breaks, or evening exploration. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is readily available in the area. Full directions, parking guidance, and the exact address will be provided upon registration.
