About The Grief Retreat

Mission & Vision

The Grief Retreat was founded by Iola Kreizman and Olivia Wood, two friends and trauma informed somatic facilitators brought together through their own experiences of grief, loss and healing.
Our mission is to bring grief out of the shadows and create safe, grounded spaces where people can feel, express and honour what they are carrying. We believe grief is not something to fix or rush through, but something that needs space, tenderness, community and the body.
Through 5 day retreats, workshops and online circles, we support people to move through grief using somatic practices, sharing circles, ritual, ceremony, nature and community. Our work is deeply held, trauma informed and rooted in the belief that we are not meant to grieve alone.
The Grief Retreat is for people needing community!
