About Transhumanist Tribalism

Mission & Vision

Our retreat center was founded in 2026, inspired by the publication of the book Tribalismo by Gaetano Russo Truglio. The vision behind the project emerged from the philosophical and cultural themes explored in the book, which reflects on the risks of an excessively hyper-technological and transhumanist society increasingly shaped by technocratic systems and artificial intelligence.

In response to this trajectory, our organization was created to cultivate an alternative paradigm that we define as * Symbiotic Transhumanism — a human-centered philosophy grounded in harmony between technology, nature, spirituality, creativity, and collective well-being. We believe that music, symbolism, and dance experiences possess the power to restore social cohesion and transformative political settlement

Directions

Getting to your retreat destination at Giardino della GIganza at Via Morosoli 15b in Catania, Sicily, is straightforward, as it is centrally located near the beautiful Villa Bellini park. ✈️ Choosing Your Airport Nearest International Airport: Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA), also known as Vincenzo Bellini Airport. It is the primary international gateway to eastern Sicily and sits just about 7 km (4.3 miles) south of Via Morosoli. Local/Alternative Airport: Comiso Airport (CIY). Located about 100 km (62 miles) away, it mostly handles regional and low-cost European budget flights. If you land here, you would need to take a direct regional bus (like Autolinee Giamporcaro) to Catania Central Station, which takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. 🚍 Connections from Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) Because the airport is so close to the city center, you have three excellent transit options to reach Via Morosoli 15b: Option 1: The Alibus (Recommended Public Transit) The Alibus is the official airport shuttle run by AMTS. It is highly efficient, cheap, and drops you off within a short walking distance of the property. Where to catch it: Just outside the arrivals terminal. Cost: €4.00 (tickets can be bought directly on board with cash or contactless card, or at the airport kiosk). Frequency: Every 25 minutes, running from 5:00 AM to midnight. The Route: Take the Alibus and get off at the "Stesicoro" or "Piazza Repubblica" stop. From there, it is roughly a 10 to 15-minute walk up toward the Villa Bellini neighborhood to reach Via Morosoli. Option 2: Taxi / Ride-Hailing Cost: Flat rates typically run between €25 and €35. Travel Time: 15 to 25 minutes depending on Catania's notorious traffic. Tip: Always use the official, licensed white taxis at the designated taxi rank outside the terminal. Ensure the driver turns on the meter or confirms the fixed city rate before you pull away. Option 3: Metro (Metropolitana)– Catania's subway network connects directly to the airport via the Fontanarossa Aeroporto train station (accessible via a quick 3-minute airport shuttle bus from the terminal). How it works: Take the airport shuttle to the Fontanarossa rail station, catch a local train to Catania Centrale, and switch to the Metro. Where to exit: Get off at the Stesicoro metro station. Via Morosoli is about a 10-minute walk northwest from the station exit. 📍 Arrival Note: Via Morosoli is a relatively quiet, narrow residential street. If you are arriving late at night or carrying heavy luggage, taking a taxi directly from the airport terminal to the front door is highly recommended to save you navigating the uphill sidewalks around the park
