Please book your flights to arrive at Costa Rica\'s main International airport, Juan Santamaria Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica. From there you can catch a domestic flight from the internal departure terminal to Tambor Airport (15 minutes walk from the International terminal). Flight time is 25 minutes and it is a beautiful scenic trip.
There is also a company called Tropical who can you book with online. They offer a great shuttle service and can pick you up from a pre-organized hotel address in San Jose or the airport itself and bring you to Santa Teresa. The trip is approx 6 hours and includes ferry crossing.
Another airport you can fly to is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR), also known as Liberia International Airport, located in Liberia, in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica.
