Caya Shobo is a genuine healing centre – dedicated to providing deeply transformative healing and spiritual growth to guests from all walks of life, in close accordance with the Shipibo plant medicine healing tradition.We work only with highly experienced Shipibo Maestro and Maestra curanderos who carry advanced knowledge for working with Ayahuasca and Master Plant Dieta. We welcome you to visit Caya Shobo at any time of year to experience the powerful medicine of Ayahuasca and receive care and guidance from our expert facilitators and practitioners.   Our maestros will design a unique plant medicine treatment program according to your personal needs, time availability and budget.Located conveniently just 45 minutes drive from the historic Amazonian city of Iquitos, or 20 minutes drive from Iquitos airport.  We also offer Spanish translation support for English, Russian and French speaking guests.

Our beautiful new Maloka offers ample space for the ceremonies and impresses with its intricate interior roof structure and is a sacred space to receive healing.
The jungle tambos that give a more immersive jungle diet experience are nestled at the back of the property. The standard rooms are closer to the Maloka and the kitchen/community space and right by the kitchen/dining space there is a beautiful pond that attracts all sorts of wild life.

Directions

To travel to Caya Shobo you will need to fly to Iquitos airport in Peru. Your journey will typically include a stop in Lima (which is about a 2 hour flight from Iquitos).
We will send an independent moto-car driver to pick you up and bring you to Caya Shobo which is a short 25 minute drive from Iquitos airport.

Wonderful Retreat Center with focus on Dietas
I was lucky to experience my first ayahuasca retreat at Caya Shobo, which was recommended to me by a shaman in Europe. The knowledge of the facilitators is vast; all of them have been dieting for at least ten years and bring heaps of experience with many jungle plants into any group. The shamans are some of the best in the world, what I can assess based on Caya Shobo‘s reputation within Shipibo Maestros as well as their selection process based on deep insights in ayahuasca ceremonies by their facilitators and founders. I can highly recommend Caya Shobo and already plan to go again!

A truly transformative experience
Caya Shobo is a place of deeply considerate humans, who are dedicated to walking the good path. My time here was transformative, and the two week process felt like it allowed space and time to do the real work and allow my body and system to get acquainted to the jungle and the processes. This retreat is one where the facilitators are truly there with you, day in and day out, yet create the ground for the experience to be individual and foster a sense of resilience and independence. They put in a lot of work, and are wonderful human beings. The integration of true Shipibo culture is done in high integrity and partnership, and felt very right. Getting to know the maestros was a beautiful experience I will take with me forever. The intimacy of the group felt perfect, not too large and allowing enough space for each individual to have their own process. Becky has been studying for decades and her experience is unmatched from what I've seen. Thank you Caya Shobo. Healing at Caya Shobo
I spent 12 days at Caya Shobo in August 2026, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, I’d done ayahuasca several times but never with a plant dieta and fully immersed in a program like this. I am very happy with my experience at Caya Shobo. You can tell that the facilitators and shamans here are genuinely invested in your well being. We had daily conversations about what we were experiencing and the experienced and knowledgeable facilitators were always available to talk to us whenever something came up. If you’re looking for an ayahuasca experience where true healing and growth is your objective I couldn’t imagine finding a better place than Caya Shobo. This place really is making the world a better place by truly helping people and keeping the traditions of the Shibipo people alive.

From the first day, I felt held — not in a scripted, "retreat brochure" kind of way, but genuinely cared for. The people there listen, they pay attention to what you actually need, and nothing feels rushed or performative. The setting helps too — there's a stillness there that makes it easier to actually be present, to feel things instead of just thinking about them.

What I appreciated most was the honesty of the whole experience. No promises of instant miracles, no forced positivity — just real space to go inward, supported by people who clearly know what they're doing and care about doing it right.

I left different than I arrived. Calmer, clearer, lighter in some way, I'm still processing. I'm grateful I found this place! Thank you Caya Shobo Team!
