From Gaia for You

Words cannot do this experience justice. I am filled with so much love and gratitude for Danilo and Ilse for such a beautiful retreat.

I did a lot of research prior to booking with From Gaia For You (FGFY), and felt chills when I read some of the reviews, and knew this would be the retreat I would choose.

From the beginning I was impressed with the response time from Danilo and Ilse. I had a few questions I asked through WhatsApp and was completely surprised by how quickly, throughly, and thoughtfully the questions were answered.

For preparation they provide instructions on dos/donts leading up to the ceremony and also a preparation call. Again, if any questions arise they are so helpful. My experience was that self preparation with meditation and dieta laid the groundwork for such a transformative experience.

Arrival and ceremony. Again, Danilo and Ilse were so helpful in coordinating arrival to FGFY, they coordinated taxis depending on when you arrived/where you were staying, which made it very efficient and I ended up sharing the taxi from Malaga with 3 other participants, which was a nice way to get introduced.

The location. Beautiful, peaceful, clean, feels like you are at home. The location is perfect for the work you are doing. Ceremony is conducted in the dome which had amazing acoustics and was so comfortable to be in. Temperature was always well controlled.

The ceremonies. This is obviously the highlight! I was amazed at how much love, trust, wisdom, authenticity, was present during the retreat. I laughed, I cried, I released, and my heart was filled. Just thinking about these ceremonies a week later I have a huge smile on my face. The music was out of this world. Guitar, piano, sound bowls, singing, recordings, whatever was chosen was always perfect for the energy at the time.

There was a mixture of medicines used including tobacco, ayahuasca, kambo, Bufo. You can either book these prior depending on the package you book, or you can add on additional sessions once you arrived. Again, Danilo and Ilse will answer any questions, and keep everything very fluid in terms of schedule. Don’t expect a complete itinerary outlining your day. Go with the flow and do what feels right!

Very intense week of release and self exploration. Danillo, Ilse and family provide a truly wonder experience in plant-based medicine. They are truly authentic in their communication and the way they live and the way they invite you into their home and family.

This retreat touched me more deeply than I can fully express. I arrived with a quiet hope for healing, not knowing what I would find. What unfolded was something sacred. It was not just a retreat. It was a return to life, to truth, to something so simple and essential that I had almost forgotten it was there.

From the first moment, I felt welcomed. The space Danilo, Ilse, and Martin create is unlike anything I have known. There is no pretending. No performance. Just real, kind, grounded human beings who walk beside you with presence and care. That alone was healing.

The ceremonies were profound. At times intense, at times filled with laughter or stillness, but always meaningful. I felt old tensions dissolve. I felt joy rise up in me like a wave. There were moments of deep silence where something in me could finally rest. Something very old and very tired could let go.

What surprised me most was the music. It was unlike anything I have experienced. Each note felt alive, played with such intention and beauty. It was as if I were sitting in a concert hall built just for me, the sound flowing straight into the heart. At times it made me weep. At times it lifted me into something I can only call grace. The music was not background. It was part of the healing itself.

Everything else supported that same feeling of care. The food was nourishing and full of love. The setting was peaceful, and the small group size allowed for real connection. Nothing felt rushed or forced. Just honest, human, and true.

What I experienced during those days is still unfolding in me. I came back home with a sense of trust I had lost. I feel more connected to nature, to others, to myself. I am softer. And stronger. I see more clearly what matters. And I carry a deep gratitude for having said yes to this journey.

A unique and special environment fostered with love, care and nurturing. This was an experience of a lifetime that I will forever be thankful for. The retreat began before arriving; that was with the support, calls and guidance from Danilo. He has a genuine intent to ensure preparation work is done to allow for a journey that, for me, made space for reconnection and a deeper sense of self. The family (and extended family) is exceptionally warm, welcoming and provides a space that is comfortable and homely supported by a strong sense of safety. A very good side with this retreat is that I got a personal approach to the medcine use. The leaders of this place have a very good undertsanding to adjust the medicines so if it fitted me. They also chose from many different medicines. Since they are receiving smaller groups they have time for more personal handling and follow up of each person. And I must mention the beautiful surroundings with mountains and forest in a mountain region. The inclusive, assisting and friendly atmosphere there from the people running the place was great.
