Welcome to La Casa de Loto, a small Insight Meditation and Yoga Retreat Center nestled in the jungle-clad mountains near Medellin, Colombia. Here, we guide you along a traditional path to inner clarity and awakening, supported by highly experienced teachers. Surrounded by vibrant natural beauty, you’ll find a peaceful oasis inspired by the Buddha’s forest retreat tradition.

Our two retreat options cater to all levels, from beginners to those seeking to deepen their practice. We are located in the mountains outside of the tourist town of Guatapé, in Antioquia, Colombia; about 1.5 hours from Medellin International Airport (MDE), and 2 hours from Medellin. Getting Here

Directions

As we are located in the mountains outside of a town where it is dark, we highly recommend that you arrive here during daylight. We are located around 1.5 hours from Medellin International Airport and 2 hours from Medellin City (el Poblado). We are happy to help you book an airport transfer from Medellin International Airport or a pick-up from Guatape. From Medelln, you can also arrive by public transport. We do not have parking space at La Casa De Loto. If you are planning to come here by car, you can leave it in Guatapé and from there take a mototaxi (tuktuk) which brings you to the front door of La Casa de Loto. You can also park on the street in front of our centre but at your own risk. Read More

Wonderful and Nourishing
From the ride from Medellin, the welcome upon my arrival, to the walk out at the end of the retreat was a warm and quite literally nourishing experience for my mind and body. Pema's guidance for meditation led quickly to a much more quiet mind. Raquel's yoga teachings supported a more healthy state for my body. The food was outstanding! Many kudos to the chef!
