The Deerstone

Our experience at the Deerstone was top quality. Having seen videos and pictures online we were very excited but it’s honestly even nicer in person. We had never been to an eco home experience before but we honestly loved it. We didn’t even leave the site once for our whole stay. There is plenty to do here, the heated pool in particular was great. Waking up to those views every morning was brilliant too. We will definitely be back.

Myself, my partner and out little dog had the most magical two-night stay at Deerstone in Wicklow — truly an amazing hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely transported away from the rush of everyday life. The setting is absolutely stunning, surrounded by nature, with a sense of peace and calm that’s hard to put into words.

The accommodation itself was beautifully thought out: cosy, spotless, and full of thoughtful little touches that made it feel really special. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying slow mornings in such a serene place was an absolute dream. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and escape — rustic charm with everything you need to fully relax.

Deerstone feels like one of those rare places you almost want to keep secret. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a reset in nature, or just a break from the noise, this place delivers in every way. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return.

Cannot recommend it highly enough — a truly special spot in Wicklow!

We had an absolutely amazing stay! It is so peaceful around you don't hear a soul, even though we know the place was fully occupied, and we stayed over the NYE.

Roaming around the grounds, listening to birds singing and the river flowing in the distance was very magical. All of the saunas were fantastic; we took advantage of using all amenities, and it felt like we were the only ones there or using them. Loved the hot tub outside the hut!!! And most importantly, our doggie was delighted with himself smelling all the smells :). We will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous 2 night retreat at The Deerstone in one of the Shepherd's Huts. It was so warm and super comfortable. We loved the hot tub! Also it was great being able to bring our dog with us. He absolutely loved it too. The facilities on site are absolutely fantastic. Beautiful saunas and hydropool. I would love to do a yoga retreat - hopefully next time. Would highly recommend The Deerstone.
