I'd go yearly if possible!
This was the third Twocan retreat in Costa Rica that I've attended over the past 3 years since I lost my husband to cancer. . Once again it was a truly meaningful and healing experience. Mike and Stacy possess incredible kindness, empathy, and genuine care that always makes me feel safe to show up exactly as I am.

One of the things I've appreciated most was the flexibility of the retreats. There was never any pressure to participate in every activity. Instead, we were encouraged to take what we needed, whether that meant joining a group session, spending quiet time in reflection, or simply resting. That freedom made the experience feel deeply personal and respectful of everyone’s unique grief journey.

I am incredibly grateful for another wonderful experience and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a compassionate space to honor their grief while reconnecting with themselves and others.

Everything I needed
I was anxious arriving to this retreat not knowing anyone or what to expect, and it provided me with lifelong friendships and everything I needed and more. I would rate this experience 10/10! From such loving and attentive retreat facilitators and staff, to the natural beauty of Costa Rica, to a perfect mix of free time and grief time, I couldn't have asked for more. There's something about just leaving your normal routine and all the distractions that helps release grief that has been stuck. I also felt my dad with me the entire journey, and felt so held in my grief by all the other group members. I can't wait to join another retreat in the near future.

Food for the Soul
I had the best time and everyone there was so lovely! It all flowed so naturally and organically I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday. The meal was delicious and what a great space to relax and reflect! Just what I needed: food for the soul! Thank you Stacy and Mike for organizing and facilitating this event and I look forward to more in the future!

Poetry reading and writing.
My first time. The setting was just right, not a long drive to a remote place (which can be nice of course) sun and breezes made a nice cocoon, the right number of strangers and friends showed up in all ways, attentive to selves and others. Brilliant call to bring in the poets, gentle, accessible and their responses to our writingwithaprompt were so thoughtful positive and observant that it made me think I could write poetry too! Ha ha. Stacy guided a settling meditation. I love Stacy and Mike, so there's that.
