New Life Rising

The name new life is appropriate because after going here i feel like I’m starting a whole new life with a blank slate. Matt, Jennae and drew are some of the most genuine caring people who I’ve met in my entire life. A couple of things that set new life apart from other retreats is the private rooms and small group size. I can’t imagine sharing a room after going through a ceremony as there’s a lot to process and by the end of the retreat our group was like a family. Everything is perfect from the delicious food made by jennae, to the waterfall excursion with drew, to the ceremony itself led by Matt. Matt is a legit shaman who secures the space with sacred tobacco and channels the spirit of the medicine. I felt extremely safe and cared for through out the ceremony and the entire retreat. I hope to be back again in the future when mama aya comes calling.

Matt is not only a legit shaman but a real dude who doesn’t pretend to be anyone other than who he really is. He genuinely cares about the people in the ceremony and puts every bit of his Heart and soul into guiding and protecting us. I felt so safe under his guidance and protection that I fell asleep in the ceremony room lol. I hope to be back again at new life in the future when mama aya comes calling.

I attended the 7 day retreat at New Life Ayahuasca. I had a wonderful and transformational experience with Matt, Jeanae and Drew. They made my first Ayahuasca experience very humble and safe. The meals were amazing. Im vegan and mostly gluten free and I was always accommodated. The food is super healthy and fresh. Jeanae lead super relaxing yoga classes the morning of each of the three Ayahuasca ceremonies. The massage with Fernando was truly my best massage I ever had so I booked him again for later in the week. The trip to the waterfall was a welcoming break too. I saw my first blue morpho butterfly. Every night the team setup a fire overlooking the rainforest towards the ocean. I loved the clear sight of the stars and the moon. It was so clear and purifying. The property is on 16 acres and has plenty of trails at 3500 ft elevation. The hot tub and pool are just great and available 24/7. I opted for a private room despite having come down with my partner. There are options to stay in a room together as well. I found it very important to have my own private space to reflect and process each ceremony by myself. The total group is 9 people max and it felt just right. I felt very close with each participant towards the end of the week. The retreat felt very homie and not like a resort or hotel. I thought I was walking in my own living room. The three cats on the property make for extra entertainment.
Matt and Jeanae are very humble and loving and are openly sharing their own transformation. I felt very taken care of. The pickup from the airport is very easy too. If you are not a well traveled person, you will be just fine.
I hope to be back very soon. Ayahuasca definitely impacted my life and Im glad I experienced it with New Life Ayahuasca. I can only recommend them to anybody. Pura Vida!

This was my first ayahuasca trip, and I am eternally grateful I chose New Life. I was interested in going somewhere that offered a space to feel relaxed and comforted because I had read that the ceremonies can be quite difficult, physically and mentally. I also enjoyed that I would not have to worry about transportation from the airport. I liked that the website offered a lot of information on Matt, Jeanae, and Drew, as they were present throughout the retreat. I felt safe that there were such great people to help me before, during, and after the ceremonies. Each person was so knowledgeable, personable, and open. It felt like we were all going through the experience together, despite this being their job. The ceremonies were exquisite, the massages and yoga sessions were calming, and the waterfall was beautiful. I highly recommend New Life and wish that everyone could experience such a profound and personal and deep spiritual event.

There could not have been a better or more beautiful place in Costa Rica for me to embark on this amazing journey. It is so peaceful with everything I needed to be comfortable being this was my first experience with Ayahuasca and Kambo plant medicines. I had my own room and my own private bathroom as well as many cozy spaces to relax, read or journal. They only allow small groups here and also provide nice areas to sit together to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets, watch the blanket of stars or to talk around a bonfire. Matt and Jeanae are so gentle, informative and supportive. I will be forever grateful to them for providing me with this opportunity to find truth, healing and guidance. The healthy meals were delicious and nourishing, the yoga classes seemed to be exactly what I needed and the ceremonies provided me with all the tools I was looking for to continue my journey. My seven day retreat was everything I hoped for and more!
