Josh’s yoga journey began on the road, living out of a tiny camper and visiting studios across the country. Drawn to slower, grounding practices like yin, gentle, and hot yoga, he discovered how a few minutes of movement and meditation each morning could completely shift his life. Yoga helped him cultivate mobility, strength, confidence, and a deep sense of inner steadiness.
Inspired to share these transformative benefits with others, Josh earned his RYT-200 certification in Santa Cruz, California. After settling in Traverse City, he continued his education and completed his 500-hour training through the Yen 300-Hour Inspired Life program. Today, he loves guiding students through practices that blend stillness, mindfulness, and embodied exploration.
Beyond the mat, Josh is passionate about sound healing—creating meditative soundscapes with the handpan, bowls, drum, and nature-inspired rhythms. He’s also an avid cold plunger, finding clarity, resilience, and community in the daily ritual of connecting with cold water.
When he’s not teaching, you’ll find Josh unicycling around town, photographing the dunes, or rock climbing—always exploring, always learning, always moving with intention.
