About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Inca Shipiba Retreat – Traditional Amazonian Plant Medicine Healing

Inca Shipiba is a healing center led by a Shipibo family in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest near Nauta, Peru. Guided by Maestra Matilde, the retreat follows the Shipibo lineage of plant medicine practice, honoring ancestral knowledge and offering it in a responsible and grounded way.

During your stay, you will enter a master plant dieta, a traditional process that supports physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Each participant is guided individually, and Maestra Matilde selects a teacher plant according to your personal process and readiness.

Some of the master plants we work with include:

Bobinsana – supports emotional healing and heart opening

Ajo Sacha – used for cleansing and strengthening the energetic body

Chiric Sanango – associated with grounding, resilience, and courage

Uña de Gato (Cat’s Claw) – known for purification and physical support

Noya Rao – traditionally connected with clarity and spiritual alignment

Ayahuma – regarded as a plant of protection and inner strength

Chuchuhuasi – traditionally used for vitality and physical grounding

Toe (Brugmansia) – a powerful and carefully guided plant teacher used only when appropriate and under strict traditional supervision

The retreat begins with a purification ritual using tobacco, an essential plant in Amazonian medicine. For those who choose, kambo may also be offered to support cleansing before entering deeper ceremonial work.

Ayahuasca ceremonies are held in the Shipibo tradition, conducted in darkness and guided by icaros, sacred healing songs sung by Maestra Matilde, Maestra Sarita and Maestro Wilson. These ceremonies create space for deep introspection, emotional release, and reconnection with one’s purpose and direction in life.

This retreat is intended for individuals who are prepared for sincere inner work. It may support those navigating addiction, emotional pain, trauma, or disconnection from purpose. It is also appropriate for participants with previous experience in plant medicine who wish to deepen their path through a structured and traditional dieta.

Inca Shipiba offers a respectful and protected environment where participants can work closely with the plants of the Amazon while directly contributing to the preservation of Shipibo ancestral wisdom
