Upon Emerald Wings- 10 day ayahuasca and Bobinsana plant dieta in the Kootenay Mountains

Join us for our favourite time of the year in the beautiful mountains of Nelson, Canada for a 10-day ayahuasca retreat in what Earth Temple students call the “Dieta Summer Camp”. Earth Temple invites you to join us for a Bobinsana plant dieta intensive including 4 ayahuasca ceremonies. Noyarao will also be available as an optional dieta for those who feel the call.

Nestled into the lush mountains, we will cohabitate in a beautiful chalet home that offers shared and private rooms and on-site camping. This is a perfect spot for deep powerful trans-formative work. Your life will never be the same. Come let go of what does not serve you and step into a whole new expression of your being.

The shamanic plant dieta container will be led by Athena Naia and Jason Dornbush, and supported throughout the retreat by facilitators Carolyn Wall and Graham Fortgang. There will be ample integration work and group and one-on-one support provided throughout the retreat available from the Earth Temple team. This retreat is offered to both experienced students and those wishing to foster a deeper connection with plant medicine path.

We welcome in the master plant teacher Bobinsana to lead the way through a transformational plant dieta as we call in the lives we have always dreamed of. Dieta-friendly meals will be provided by a chef throughout the week. During the day, enjoy beautiful nature hikes and swimming in the surrounding areas! It is highly suggested that participants take time off work and can be 100% dedicated to the plant dieta container.

What is DIETA

Dieta is a traditional way to bring positive changes to your mind, heart, body, and soul. It offers an opportunity to connect with and cultivate a deeper relationship with the intelligence, spirit, and energy of master teacher plants. The profound and powerful transformations that occur from the deep relationships we build with the plant, ourselves, and each other allows us to walk with the spirit of love and courage, which is much needed to create the new world our hearts are praying for.

A Dieta is a deeper way of working with the medicine. When you decide to commit to dieta, it involves discipline and offering of fasting from certain foods, a series of ceremonies and the simultaneous partaking of another healing plant. It is the way all the Shipibo become healers; curanderos. For this retreat we will be offering Bobinsana as the companion plant.

Dieta is a powerful process and practice that has been used by the Shipibo people to heal and learn from the spirits of the plants. The dieta will take you much deeper than a ceremony. It has a synergistic envelope as you enter in communion with the medicine. We are working on re-patterning certain dynamics here with deeper levels of inquiry when certain dynamics play out. It is a beautiful commitment to yourself and your path.

Bobiensana is a beautiful shrub/tree with gorgeous pink flowers that is connected deeply to the heart, known as heart medicine and a heart healer. Bobiensana keeps us connected to our hearts in a playful way. She is great at opening up dreamtime, calling in new creative ways of seeing, being and creating. She invites us to co-create from a place of love and to listen deeply to our heart and soul's calling.


More on Noyarao

Noyarao, also known as palo volador or the tree of light is an incredibly rare tree that grows in the amazon jungle that glows in the dark. There are many myths and legends of the Noyarao tree. For many years it was passed down only energetically by those who had been in relationship with it. Noyarao is a tree that is used for healing and also to help awaken the gifts of healers. It is considered an advanced dieta, which is why many healers in the Amazonian tradition find it incredibly helpful for their work in the shamanic arts. It strengthens the energy body, amplifies gifts and psychic abilities.

Due to its strong healing frequency, we are offering Noyarao optionally for anyone who feels called to dive deeply with this plant alongside Bobinsana.

A little about Athena

Athena has been studying forms of traditional healing and shamanism for over 15 years. Her journey into alternative Healing opened during a major crisis in her life, which led her to working with her family down south and a Traditional Venezuelan healer who recognized her gift of sight and began to give her a language to explain life as an empath and seer. Upon arriving back to Canada she was adopted by a beautiful medicine woman who grounded her into ceremonial teachings, sweat lodges, pipe ceremony and women's mystery work. She began working with Aya in 2010, and soon after began a formal apprenticeship with the Shipibo Mahua Lineage in the Amazon of Peru studying a traditional form of healthcare. She has spent months at a time in retreat in the practice of dieta fasting from foods and water for periods of time and learning directly from the spirits of the plants. She travels internationally, holding ceremonies and retreats, runs plant dietas and Integration work and runs a full-time healing practice.

She has been recognized by the Grandmother Shipibo Maestras she works with and was given the cup to serve medicine after 8 years of apprenticing. Her main Teachers Include Maestra Amelia Ronen, Maestra Manuela Mahua. She has spent countless time learning from Elders, wisdom keepers and guardians of the traditions in North and South America. She has been blessed to sit with and share friendship with traditional grandmothers and grandfathers, who have helped keep her humble and in reverence for all life. She is a mother of two little boys, an artist, a Doula, and herbalist in training and tries not to take herself too seriously. She holds all who sit with her in circle in the love and the great mother’s heart. She currently lives in the mountains of British Columbia.
