About this Retreat
Bridging the gap between the mat and the mountains, Jay is originally from a small town Mugling in the Chitwan district, he began his career in 2017 as a helper for yoga treks. He received the government trekking guide license in 2021 and later completed a RYT-200 in Nepal. Today, he works as a yoga teacher and trekking guide at Yatri yoga retreat.
Jay brings over six years of dedicated experience to his role as a mountain guide and yoga instructor, uniquely blending physical endurance with deep inner work. His retreats are renowned for a philosophy that shifts the traditional mountaineering focus from outward conquest to “Inner Engineering,” using the natural challenge of high altitudes as a catalyst for profound personal development.

This sacred yoga retreat in Nepal offers a moderate yet enriching experience for those eager to explore the stunning beauty of Langtang National Park, meet diverse and unique flora and fauna and witness breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of the Tibetan people.
Gosaikunda, a pristine alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake, lies within Nepals Langtang National Park.
Along the way, you can admire several sacred lakes, including Blood Kunda, Suryakunda, Saraswatikunda, Bhairavkunda, Nagkunda and Naukunda. Join us on this incredible journey and embrace the joy of life!
Itinerary for holy Gosaikunda lake trek:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal
Our representative will greet you at the airport and then provide transportation to the hotel. There, we will discuss the program in details, have leisure time, dinner and retire.
Day 02: Drive to Dhunche [1,950m] [6-7 hrs. Drive]
After breakfast in the morning, we will take the bus to Dhunche. The journey involves a scenic ride along winding, hilly roads beside the Trishuli River, offering stunning views of the river, forests and terraced fields. (Private jeep transfer is also available on your comfort and request on extra cost.)
Day 03: Dhunche to Sing Gompa [3,254m] [4-5 hrs. walk]
We will wake up in the morning, enjoy tea and breakfast and then hike towards Sing Gompa. Our trail gently ascends through oak and bamboo forests, passing the village of Deurali before reaching Sing Gompa. This area is renowned for its famous monastery and religious significance. Depending on the weather, you can participate in the yoga session either in the morning or evening. Well spend the night in a guest house.
Day 04: Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda [4,336m] [5-6 hrs. walk]
Start your day with a morning wake-up, followed by tea and breakfast. Then, set off on our trek to Gosaikunda, making your way through Cholangpati and Laurebina. We will hike through Lauribina Pass, the highest point of our trek, where you will be treated to breathtaking mountain views. Depending on the weather, we will schedule the yoga session for either the morning or the evening. End the day by staying overnight in a tea house.
Day 05: Gosaikunda to Ghopte [2,680m] [7-8 hrs walk
Start the day with tea and a morning yoga session. After yoga class and a delicious breakfast, We will descend towards the village of Ghopte, passing through a small settlement along the way. Overnight stay in Ghopte.
Day 06: Ghopte to Kutumsang [2,470m] [7-8 hrs walk]
After breakfast today, we will take another route through Thadepati before continuing down the trail. Among the various scattered settlements, Mangengoth is a notable one. As we pass through lush green forests, we will eventually arrive at the village of Kutumsang, where we spend the night.
Day 07: Kutumsang to Chisapani [2,200m] [6-7 hrs walk]
After breakfast in the morning, we will descend through the lush oak and rhododendron forests to reach Chisapani. This charming hill station is renowned for its breathtaking sunrise views. Nicely spend the night in Chisapani.
Day 08: Chisapani to Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu [5-6 hrs walk & 1 hour drive] Departure
After breakfast in the morning, we make uphill trek about 2 hours then 3-4 hours downhill trek to Sundarijal along with the dense forest of Shivapuri national park. After arriving at Sundarijal, we drive back to Kathmandu and transfer you to your hotel.
