About this Retreat
Dr. Samantha Petrin is fascinated by the mental emotional body and its innate wisdom. She has seen how trauma physiology manifests as physical dysfunction. Her approach to healing focuses on building resilience and increasing one's capacity to be with themselves. She utilizes tools such as craniosacral therapy, somatic experiencing, breathwork, and her extensive training in naturopathic medicine to support your whole system, body, mind, and spirit, to find its own way back to health.
She runs a trauma-informed practice with a focus on mental health and nervous system disorders. She has experience in supporting patients through a variety of concerns from digestive, to hormonal, to psychological issues. Her scope of practice includes clinical nutrition, lifestyle counselling, botanical medicine, acupuncture, IV therapy, prescriptive authority, laboratory & diagnostic testing, somatic therapy, breathwork, and craniosacral therapy.
Outside of the clinic she enjoys intuitive dance and listening to the calming waves at the beach. "LGBTQ2S+ friendly
When we get disconnected from ourselves, we get lost. The purpose of therapy is to connect us back to ourselves.
My great passion is to show the possibility of healing people. I guide clients to find a healthy connection to themselves and have compassion, so they can know themselves as peaceful, whole and safe. I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual. For this reason, I have integrated everything I have learnt into a holistic psychosomatic approach to the treatment of trauma.
I am a licensed Counsellor, Certified Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner, and Certified Breathwork Facilitator from Vancouver, BC, Canada. I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, multicultural therapy, body image, boundaries, sexuality and female wellness.
