Details of this retreat

This 15-day retreat offers something few experiences can.

Time.

Time to step fully out of constant input, expectations, and stimulation —
and to stay long enough for something deeper to unfold.

This is not an activity-based retreat.
There is no fixed schedule, no group program, and no expectation to socialize.

Instead, you are invited into a quiet, natural environment where you can gradually slow down, settle, and reconnect with yourself.

The retreat begins with a personal welcome and orientation, followed by a shared transition into digital detox. A welcome dinner on arrival day offers a final moment of connection, after which the space gently settles into silence.

From there, the experience becomes your own.

Days unfold without structure — through rest, nature, reflection, and optional self-led practices if you feel drawn to them.

Silence is held as a shared intention — not as a strict rule, but as a way to reduce external noise and allow something deeper to emerge.

Meals are simple, nourishing, and self-guided, forming a quiet rhythm that supports the process.

The first days are often about letting go.
Then the nervous system begins to settle.
And over time, a deeper shift becomes possible.

In fifteen days, the experience moves beyond rest.

It becomes a process of recalibration —
a gradual return to clarity, presence, and a more grounded way of being.

This retreat is not about adding anything new.
It is about staying long enough for what is already there to be felt, seen, and integrated.

Schedule

A personal integration to the retreat:

Before your arrival, you’ll receive an “Orientation to Your Retreat” guide to help you prepare, arrive with ease, and feel at home from the very beginning.

On arrival, you are personally welcomed and gently introduced to the space and everything you need to know.
You’ll have time to ask questions, settle in, and land fully.

Before dinner, we begin the retreat together by putting away our digital devices.
The welcome dinner is the final moment of connection — after which we move into silence.

From this point on, you step into a fully self-led experience.

No pressure to perform — just open space:

There is no schedule to follow — only space to move through your day in your own way.

Retreat days are gently shaped by regular mealtimes and consistent bedtimes. A simple, repeating daily rhythm creates a sense of safety for the nervous system and allows the body to restore more deeply than is often possible in everyday life. Otherwise, the days remain open.

In general, staying as much in nature as possible is warmly recommended to reap full restorative impacts of forest bathing.

You might begin your morning with a quiet moment, a swim in the lake, or simply resting.

Meals are prepared within flexible time windows and become a simple, grounding part of the day.

Time in nature, rest, and optional self-led practices and nature activities can fill your day — or you may choose to do nothing at all.

Evenings often invite you to slow down further, with sauna or sharing by the bonfire.
Note: Schedule is approximate and may change

Directions

The journey to Utula is part of the experience. Reaching this quiet place in nature may take a little time and effort — but for many, the journey itself becomes a meaningful transition.

The most common route is via Helsinki. From Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, you can either rent a car or take a train to Imatra (approx. 2.5 hours).

Many of our customers spend the previous night before retreat in Helsinki, exploring the beautiful city to catch the transfer from Imatra train station on Monday.

A shared transfer between Imatra station and the retreat is included in the price.
Pick-up and drop-off take place on Mondays at 13:30 (aligned with trains arriving at 12:52 and departing at 14:08).

Accommodation

You will stay in simple, peaceful cottages designed for rest and connection with nature. Forest Bungalows (single or double) are modern, light-filled cabins with glass doors that can be opened to let in fresh air and the natural surroundings. Each has a small private terrace for quiet moments overlooking the lake. Twin Cottages (single or twin) are older log-built rooms with a more rustic, atmospheric feel. Large windows open toward Lake Saimaa, bringing in natural light and a strong sense of place. All rooms are minimal, comfortable, and functional — with essentials such as quality bedding, storage, and a calm, uncluttered environment to support rest.
