About this Retreat
Nils is a visionary, author and guide. His work focuses on emotional openness, inner balance, and living in deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. He offers support in areas such as emotional healing, forgiveness, and creating safe, honest spaces for human closeness and hugging meditations.
His approach includes heart-centred presence, secluded time in darkness without distractions, exploring the balance of feminine and masculine energies, and gently meeting and embracing the hidden parts of ourselves. He shares about nourishing the body and spirit through fasting and tuning into the body's natural energies. In relationships, he explores open, connected and mutually caring ways of living within a relational network.
Much of Nils' writing is guided by a sense of trust in something greater – a deeper consciousness within life, Mother Earth, and the wider universe.
Details of this retreat
This is not a group retreat, but a private, one-on-one retreat for those who have been through a lot and want a fresh start. Perhaps you have recently experienced a breakup or divorce, years of emotional distance or numbness, or simply a quiet loneliness that comfort, busyness and distractions could never quite fill. There comes a time when you simply don't want to live like that anymore.
This is a personal, six-day (flexible) full-immersion solo retreat in Tenerife, designed to help you truly open up. Through honest sharing, deep inner work, forgiveness practices, heart-centred somatic experiences, and (if you wish) raw food cleansing or fasting, you can gradually release old protective layers.
You can explore and practice how to communicate with honesty and ease about your fears and insecurities, your longings and allowances, your boundaries and your shame. You can discover new, warmer and more authentic ways of connecting with others than most of us learned.
After the retreat, you will find that communicating with vulnerability and honesty, offering a deep energetic presence, and connecting with others in an authentic and caring way will come more naturally to you. You will probably also start to attract more souls into your life who feel and live the same way.
This is about opening up again after perhaps a long period of inner withdrawal, and becoming a fully loving and fully lovable human being with an open, curious and adventurous heart once again.
What Makes This Retreat Special:
Your nervous system needs to feel safe enough to open. This solo retreat meets you where you are.
Honest sharing, emotional work, shadow work, the practice of forgiveness and gratitude will meet this openness and begin to release what has been holding you back. If you like, you can combine this with fasting or raw food cleansing. It quiets the energetic noise and creates a deeper inner receptivity.
Woven throughout the experience is the lived practice of deep, heart-centred presence and connection. Saying what you actually want and need, clearly and kindly. Learning to offer your hand. Staying present in a long hug, using it to open your heart further and further.
This is not a group workshop or spiritual performance, and it is not about theoretical teaching. At Finca Sanuela, you can experience this heart opening for yourself in a small, authentic setting, either one-to-one or with one or two other guests. Nils will guide you personally at whatever pace you are comfortable with.
The Retreat Experience:
It doesn't matter what time you arrive. After picking you up from the nearby bus station, you can take some time to settle in. We can talk, share and get to know each other a bit. If you like, we can draw some oracle cards together and receive intuitive messages about your retreat experience.
When you feel ready, I will show you how heart-centred breathing works. As this forms the basis of your retreat experience, I will remind you regularly to help you maintain the practice, because it is simple to do but difficult to keep going with.
We can then sit together for the first honest sharing of the retreat. This is not about what you want to achieve, but about what you are actually carrying with you. What has been weighing you down? What have you been avoiding? What has your heart been trying to say?
This is the first practice of something you will come back to again and again over the coming days: speaking openly from your heart, without performing, without editing yourself into something more acceptable.
From here, the retreat finds its own rhythm. Mornings often begin quietly, with a walk in nature or time to write or simply be. There is no fixed programme. What arises each day guides what we do with it.
Notice what changes when your body shifts to higher frequencies: how your emotions and your energetic perceptions become more accessible, how your inner voice grows clearer and how something that felt numb begins to stir.
As the retreat unfolds, we move step by step into deeper levels of exploration. This is an invitation to engage with the parts of yourself that have been hiding: the fears, the shame, the unforgiven moments, the old stories about what LOVE is supposed to look like. This happens naturally during our daily activities: during a nature walk, after a shared meal or simply while sitting together.
You will become more confident by practising the simple acts of honest closeness that most of us were never taught. How to say what you want and need with warmth and clarity. How to offer your hand during a walk and feel that as natural. If you feel like it, you can also experience the deeply healing and nourishing effects of a hugging meditation, and learn how to share this experience with others.
By the final day, something has usually shifted. The heart is a little less guarded. Words are spoken more honestly. The longing for authentic connection feels less like a wound and more like a compass. This is where your next chapter begins.
