About this Retreat
Nils is a visionary, author and guide. His work focuses on emotional openness, inner balance, and living in deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. He offers support in areas such as emotional healing, forgiveness, and creating safe, honest spaces for human closeness and hugging meditations.
His approach includes heart-centred presence, secluded time in darkness without distractions, exploring the balance of feminine and masculine energies, and gently meeting and embracing the hidden parts of ourselves. He shares about nourishing the body and spirit through fasting and tuning into the body's natural energies. In relationships, he explores open, connected and mutually caring ways of living within a relational network.
Much of Nils' writing is guided by a sense of trust in something greater – a deeper consciousness within life, Mother Earth, and the wider universe.
Beatrice is a creative soul and space holder at Finca Sanuela. She provides guests with a grounded, open and heart-centred presence, making them feel at ease.
Her passion for creativity and art adds an extra dimension to the retreat experience. After an emotionally intensive session, engaging in creative activities such as drawing, painting or writing can provide a natural way to process and integrate the experiences.
She is also learning to offer conscious touch and hugging meditation sessions, which may make women feel more comfortable and safe when taking their first steps into these practices.
Spending time outdoors with Beatrice – walking slowly, sitting quietly and being barefoot together in the Tenerife landscape – carries a special quality, as nature often feels like an extension of her. Her natural sensitivity to others' feelings means she often senses what a guest needs before it has been spoken.
Beatrice is on her own journey of discovery and personal growth, exploring the themes and practices of Finca Sanuela from the inside. This makes her a true companion on the path, being curious, honest, and warmly present.
She speaks English, French, Spanish, and Romanian.
Details of this retreat
Smoking is rarely just a habit. For most people, it is an emotional relationship with a moment of pause in a busy day or something that feels like it belongs to you alone. It can also be a way of managing overwhelming or unfulfilling feelings.
You know it is not good for you. You know you want to stop. What you may not yet know is why, despite all that, your hand still reaches for a cigarette. So, before we talk about quitting, it's worth asking: what has smoking actually been giving you? Calm. A reason to step outside. A few minutes of genuine presence with yourself. Something to do with the longing or restlessness when it arises.
This six-day retreat in Tenerife starts with honest curiosity about what lies beneath the habit, rather than willpower or withdrawal strategies. Most approaches to quitting miss this key point: if you remove the cigarette without replacing it with something more meaningful, the longing simply finds another outlet.
Over the course of your stay, we will work directly with the subconscious mind in two or three hypnotherapy sessions. They are designed to gently rewire the neurological patterns, associations, and emotional triggers that have kept the habit in place. We will also explore the deeper emotional roots, such as fears, tensions and quiet loneliness or disconnection, which nicotine has been masking. The rest of the retreat creates the inner conditions for something new to take root.
Through honest sharing, heart-centred presence, cleansing your body with raw food or through fasting, and practising simple ways to connect more authentically with others, you will begin to find what you were actually reaching for when you reached for a cigarette.
What Makes This Retreat Special
2–3 guided quit smoking hypnosis sessions with a certified hypnotherapist, plus deep inner work, heart-centred presence, and authentic human connection.
This retreat goes to the roots. Clinical hypnotherapy works directly with the subconscious mind, where habits originate, dissolving the associations and triggers that willpower alone cannot reach. But what surrounds the hypnotherapy is equally important: a full immersion in honest inner work, heart-centred presence and authentic human connection that begins to fill the emotional space nicotine has been occupying.
You will explore what you were really reaching for. Not as a concept, but as something felt and lived.
Add to this the physical cleansing of raw food or fasting, the peacefulness of Finca Sanuela, and the personal, unhurried attention of working 1:1 with Nils, and something wonderful becomes possible: leaving with freedom from smoking and an open heart for the next chapter of your life.
The Retreat Experience:
It doesn't matter what time you arrive. After picking you up from the nearby bus station, you can take some time to settle in. We can talk, share and get to know each other a bit. If you like, we can draw some oracle cards together and receive intuitive messages about your retreat experience.
When you feel ready, I will show you how heart-centred breathing works. You can practise this technique throughout your stay to help your body and nervous system to relax and feel more balanced.
We can then sit together for the first honest sharing about your relationship with smoking: what place it has had in your life, what you have been seeking in it, and what you feel ready to step into now instead.
This is the first practice of something you will come back to again and again over the coming days: speaking openly from your heart, without performing, without editing yourself into something more acceptable.
When you feel ready, you can experience your first hypnotherapy session. You will sit or lie down comfortably, close your eyes, and simply listen to calm, gentle words. The purpose of this initial session is to help you relax, release any nervousness or holding back as you are guided through an inner cleansing process.
The next day, when you feel open and relaxed, you can receive the main hypnotherapy session. Here, the focus shifts towards letting go of the habit: dissolving subconscious associations, strengthening your inner decision, and anchoring new, healthier pathways that support a life without cigarettes.
The days after these sessions are an opportunity to process what you have experienced and start living this new relationship with yourself.
The retreat finds its own rhythm. Mornings often begin quietly, with a walk in nature or time to write or simply be. There is no fixed programme. What arises each day guides what we do with it.
We can explore supportive somatic practices, forgiveness work, nature hikes, swimming in the ocean, inspirational conversations, and other activities such as humming, drumming or gong baths.
The peaceful, personal atmosphere of Finca Sanuela, the delicious, healthy food, the absence of pressure to perform, and the feeling of being supported all come together to create an environment in which deep inner transformation can take place.
