Details of this retreat

Step away from noise and distraction, and into a day of intentional silence.
Zoetic River’s One DaySilent Retreats are designed as a deep, yet approachable, immersion into mindfulness — a chance to slow down, turn inward, and see what there is to be gleaned from the great teacher of eternity, Silence.
Over the course of the day, you’ll be guided through a day long schedule of sitting meditation, walking meditation, and mindful eating (as well as a few surprises).
With the support of silence, each moment expands out and becomes an opportunity to notice the energy of the heart, steady the mind, and reconnect with Presence.
On retreat, clarity arises; in silence, the nervous system retunes itself; with kind mindful awareness, the heart opens. By the end of the day, many participants describe feeling both deeply rested and profoundly awake.
Our retreat center — surrounded by the beauty of nature — offers the ideal setting for the practice of Silent Retreat. Whether you are new to meditation or a ways down the path, a Silent Day Long Retreat at Zoetic River is an invitation to return to yourself.

Yin-ish Yoga, Soundbath
Dara's class was more of a restorative approach. She got us deep into our hips where we're known to store emotions, then closed with sound bath. I left empowered, grounded, clear. And the next day a bit sore, confirmation the yoga worked!

Four day silent retreat at Zoetic River
This was my first meditation retreat ever, and I am so glad I took a chance on Zoetic River. The silent retreat schedule was thoughtfully structured and balanced between mindfulness sessions (all of which were optional, mainly sitting and walking) and free time. The sessions themselves were expertly guided, emphasizing focused attention and open awareness, and with enough variety to keep even a skeptic like me engaged. The facilitators were thoughtful and caring. They clearly each love what they do, are very effective, and go out of their way to ensure that every attendee has the best experience possible.

This location next to the Blanco River (more of a creek when I was there in summer) was perfect for reflection and calm, with plenty of quiet places to find solitude and explore the nature of my mind. Being able to cool off in the river was another bonus, as was having food and drink provided.

If you go, do not skip the sonic experiences. They were exceptional.

wonderful place
This was my 2nd time attending a retreat at Zoetic and it was even better this time. The staff, food, animals, and especially the natural setting make this place so nice and peaceful. I will for sure be back.

Kundalini Reset
Kundalini is a practice I began more than two decades ago, and after a break, it was time to come back to it. Kelly’s class has been exactly what I needed—so deeply supportive; each class perfect for the moment, “right practice at the right time.”
Thank you, Zoetics, for bringing Kundalini back to the valley. I’m really grateful to be able to return to this practice in such a meaningful way.

Yin-ish is the Greatest Gift
Yin-ish Yoga was the most perfect way to start my day after spending 20 hours on the road in two days! Dara is so gifted at teaching this class!
