Meet the facilitators:

Alanna is a Kambo Practitioner from the Asheville area and has undergone training and initiation from an Umbandaime community where she lived and studied in the Amazon of Acre, Brazil. She has also studied with the Yawanawa tribe in Brazil and a Peruvian master. She uses Rapè and Sananga medicines as part of her offerings to help participants ground and focus prior to receiving the frog. Alanna is a psychiatric registered nurse by background and has experience working in hospitals and treatment centers for people with addiction and mental health issues. In her private practice she utilizes the Kambo as an alternative therapy for people transitioning off pharmaceutical medications. She facilitates Kambo ceremonies, women's empowerment circles, grandmother ceremonies, and brings groups to the amazon each year.  She is a multi instrumental musician/composer and supports ceremony spaces with live music.

David has had a lifelong affinity to connect with mother nature in an intimate way and is passionate about helping others do the same; to understand Her essence, and learn to live harmoniously with Her.  David has had many years of life experience  to prepare for this program, including training with plant medicine, completing the Appalachian Trail in 2015, Wilderness EMT-B training, and Rites of Passage Facilitation and Guide training with Kedar Brown.  David specializes in his work with men, providing healing spaces where men gather, pray, and bring balance and integrity to the divine masculine and feminine within each person. David is passionate about discovering what it means to take responsibility, to be a protector, a provider, to learn how to truly be a man in society, and help others do the same.

Co-Facilitators:

Robbie McLucas

Robbie is practicing being human with compassion and humility. He is a certifed facilitator for SeekHealing, a non-profit organization that focuses on creating deeper and more meaningful human connections and a certified pranayama breathwork instructor. Robbie has received training in Untriggered, a group facilitation program, as well as training in Mindful Self- Compassion and Authentic Relating practices. Currently, Robbie is earning a graduate degree in counseling with a emphasis in trauma and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Yoga, breathwork, ecstatic dance, and meditation are part of Robbie’s spiritual and self-care practice, and he is also an avid hiker and loves to cook.

 Brian Delaney

Inspired by cultures that eat in a way that promotes health and longevity, Brian uses his culinary skills to offer vegetarian foods that are a perfect match for ceremonial journeys.  Nourishing the body with wholesome foods after deep spiritual work truly creates a strong body-mind-spiritual connection. Brian began his culinary career helping his grandfather cook family holiday meals growing up in Connecticut.  He saw how happy Papa was in the kitchen and knew immediately that he wanted to learn how to cook and bring joy to all of those he could feed.  Inspired by theGreat Chefs of America series on PBS that ran in the early 80s, Brian realized he had a knack for remembering recipes and cooking techniques.  He started cooking for family and friends at sixteen years old and never stopped pushing himself to learn new cuisines, pulling recipes out of the few cookbooks his mom had. Self-trained, Brian learned how to cook Chinese, Italian, and regional American foods before he went to the University of Rhode Island and graduated with a food-service management degree.  Burned out after eight years of work as a caterer, Brian threw caution to the wind, quit his job, and moved to Los Angeles to attend the California Sushi Academy.  Three years of work as a sushi chef in LA was a dream come true. In 2002, Brian took another leap back to the Southeast to start a family and open a yoga studio.  For twenty-seven years Brian has cooked with intuition and care much like his yoga practice taught him to do for his body and mind.  The fearless drive to be creative and craft something good to eat is Brian’s greatest passion.
