Musician and healing guide Grounding . Integration . Regulation I started on this path with the intention of healing chronic mental and physical illness. Having tended to the forgotten parts of myself, I now share what I have learned. I grew up and continue to live between New York and Portugal. Early exposure to multiple cultures has strongly influenced who I am. Extensive travel to drink from wellsprings of traditional knowledge has informed what I share. I hold thousands of hours of training and experience as a healing arts practitioner and space holder. Much of this time has been spent as a Trauma Informed Yoga and movement Instructor (E-RYT 500+) and as a maker of healing songs and sounds. Remembrance This path of remembrance I am humbly walking has helped restore my ability to nourish the aspects of myself + community which deserve our upmost care and love. Born of Jamaican and Iranian descent, I have been raised by parents and elders who have helped guide me towards rediscovering the ancient forms in which communities gather, heal, and grow together. For well over a decade I have been studying, learning from, and working directly with various plant teachers and their respective ceremonies. Apprenticing for many years with initiated elders of several traditions has left me with an immense passion and responsibility to carry these teachings with the upmost reverence and integrity.

Julia is a Psychology student and embodiment guide, currently pursuing her masters degree through Karlstad University. Originally growing up in the vast forests of Sweden, Julia has spent over a decade traveling the world exploring various modalities of healing and whole-ing. What started off as a personal search for healing unfolded into a rewarding quest of Self discovery, which has re-connected herself back to her Soul and to Nature. Dear to Julia’s heart are the wisdom traditions of Buddhism and Yoga, Sacred Plant Medicines, and other healing arts. As a passionate practitioner of Vipassana meditation, Julia has participated in and supported countless silent meditation retreats globally, and carries 700 hours of Yoga Teacher Training. For a decade she has been traveling to South America to explore and experience the different shamanic traditions and ceremonies of the Americas, and is currently completing a 4 year commitment to the ancient practice of the Vision Quest. After completing her B.A. program, Julia has begun to provide CBT, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Psychodynamic therapy to various clients both locally and through her work with parents at the Center of Habilitation for Children and Adolescents in Karlstad. Contemplating, discovering, and giving birth to meaningful ways and sacred containers that best serve humanity and the larger Earth community is Julia's North Star.
