Sound Healing Facilitation Training & Healing Retreat

The 7 - Day Journey

Days 1–3 | Foundation

Grounded skill, trauma-aware facilitation, nervous system understanding, and hands-on training with:

* Gongs

* Crystal Singing Bowls

* Drums

* Percussive grounding instruments

Build confidence.
 Create safe containers.
 Understand the why behind the work.

Days 4–5 | Embodiment

Step into facilitation with guided mentorship:

* Structuring sound journeys

* Opening & closing sacred space

* Guiding groups into expanded states

* Supervised practice and feedback

Technique becomes embodied presence.

Days 6–7 | Integration

A carefully prepared and responsibly held sacred plant medicine ceremony supported by live sound & music.

Including:

* Intention setting & preparation

* Clear safety guidelines

* Experienced ceremonial holding

* Guided integration circles

* Nature immersion & reflection

Training meets lived experience. 
Sound becomes anchor and intuitive wisdom.

Directions

By Air (International Travelers)
1️⃣ Fly into Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO)
This is the main international airport serving Costa Rica.

2️⃣ From San José to Tinamastes (about 3–4 hours total travel)
You have three main options:

Option A: Rental Car (Most Flexible – Recommended)
* Drive south on the Inter-American Highway (Route 2 / Carretera Interamericana Sur)
* Pass through San Isidro de El General
* Continue north toward Dominical
* Tinamastes is located between San Isidro and Dominical
🕒 Driving time: 3–3.5 hours
✅ Best for: flexibility, visiting waterfalls, rural stays
Tip: Mountain roads can be foggy at night — try to arrive before dark.

Option B: Public Bus (Budget-Friendly)
Step 1: Airport → San José Bus Terminal
Take a taxi or Uber (20–30 minutes) into downtown San José.
Step 2: Bus to San Isidro
From Terminal Tracopa, take a bus to San Isidro de El General.
* Company: Tracopa
* Travel time: ~3.5 hours
* Buses run multiple times daily
Step 3: San Isidro → Tinamastes
From San Isidro:
* Local bus toward Dominical/Uvita
OR
* Taxi (about 30–40 minutes)
Total bus travel time: 4–5 hours

Option C: Private Shuttle or Taxi (Easiest, No Transfers)
You can book:
* Private shuttle from SJO directly to Tinamastes
* Shared shuttle services (advance reservation required)
🕒 Travel time: ~3.5 hours
💰 More expensive but comfortable and stress-free

Taxi Tips in Costa Rica
* Use official red taxis or Uber
* Confirm price beforehand if not using a meter
* Expect higher fares for rural drop-offs

Tinamastes is:
* 30 minutes from Dominical (beach town)
* 30 minutes from San Isidro de El General
* Near Nauyaca Waterfalls
Cell service can be limited — download offline Google Maps before traveling.

Season

Dry Season — December to April
* Less rain: Much drier, especially January–March, with far fewer downpours.
* Sunny mornings: Clear skies and warm days make this the most popular time to visit.
* Temps: Daytime highs often mid-20s °C (mid-70s to low-80s °F) with cooler nights.
* Best for: Hiking, waterfalls, and outdoor exploration with minimal muddy trails.
February is typically the driest and sunniest month.
Rainy (Green) Season — May to November
* Rain becomes frequent: Especially heavier from June to October — afternoons often feature rain or thunderstorms.
* Peak rain: September and October tend to be the wettest.
* Climate feel: Warm days with high humidity, rich forest growth, and lush green scenery.
* Typical pattern: Sunshine in the morning → rain in the afternoon/evening — especially in tropical mountain/forest zones.
The “green season” isn’t constant rain — it’s usually sunny mornings with showers later and lots of lush vegetation.
Temperature
* Year-round warmth: Daily highs generally stay around 24–26°C (75–79°F).
* Cooler nights: Especially in higher terrain like Tinamastes, lows often drop into the mid-60s °F (around 15–18°C).
* Humidity and dew points are higher in the rainy months.
